大衛又說：『基伊拉公民會不會將我和跟從我的人送交掃羅手裏呢？』永恆主說：『會送交的。』

義人的心願、其結局只是好的；惡人所期望的必干神怒。

拿伯城裏的人、那些在他城裏居住的長老和顯貴的人、就照耶洗別所送給他們的文書去行。他們照送給他們的文書裏所寫的宣告禁食，叫拿伯坐在民間的首位上。有兩個無賴子一類的人來，坐在拿伯對面；無賴子當着眾民面前作見證告拿伯說：『拿伯曾經謗讟上帝和王』；眾人就把他拉出城外，拿石頭打他打到死。於是打發人去見耶洗別，說：『拿伯被石頭打到死了。』

求統治者情面的人很多。惟有從永恆主、人才得直。

『若有利未人、無論寄居在以色列中的哪一座城，他從那裏一心一意地來到永恆主所要選擇的地方，

惡人看見便惱恨；他必咬牙切齒，而身歸熔化；惡人的心願終於滅沒。

因為傲慢人起來攻擊我，強橫可怖的人尋索我的性命；他們不將上帝擺在他們面前。（細拉）

押尼珥對大衛說：『我要起身去集合以色列眾人來見我主我王，和你立約；你就可以照心願來掌王權』；於是大衛把押尼珥送走，押尼珥就安安然然去了。

管家的和市長跟長老們和養育王子的、就打發人去見耶戶，說：『我們是你的僕人；凡你所吩咐我們的、我們都要遵行。我們不立甚麼人做王；你看怎麼好、就怎麼行好啦。』耶戶又給他們寫了第二封信，說：『你們若擁護我，聽從我的話，那麼明天大約這時候、你們要將你們主上的兒子那些人的頭取下來，帶到耶斯列來見我。』那時王的兒子七十人都住在城裏的大人們、將王子養大的、那些人家裏。信一到了他們那裏，他們就把王的兒子七十個人宰殺了，將他們的頭裝在簍子裏，送到耶斯列耶戶那裏。
