三十個領袖中的三個人下到磐石那裏，進了亞杜蘭洞見大衛；非利士的軍隊在利乏音谷安營。

我出聲哀告耶和華，出聲懇求耶和華。我在他面前傾訴我的苦情，在他面前陳說我的患難。我的靈在我裏面發昏的時候，你知道我的道路。在我所行的路上，人為我暗設羅網。求你留意向我右邊觀看，無人認識我；我無避難之處，也無人眷顧我。耶和華啊，我曾向你哀求。我說：「你是我的避難所，在活人之地，你是我的福分。」求你留心聽我的呼求，因我落到極卑微之地；求你救我脫離迫害我的人，因為他們比我強盛。求你從被囚之地領我出來，我好頌揚你的名。義人必環繞我，因為你用厚恩待我。

我要時時稱頌耶和華，讚美他的話常在我口中。

這世界配不上他們，他們在曠野、山嶺、山洞、地穴，飄流無定。

那日大衛起來，躲避掃羅，逃到迦特王亞吉那裏。亞吉的臣僕對他說：「這不是那地的國王大衛嗎？那裏的人跳舞唱和：『掃羅殺死千千，大衛殺死萬萬』，不是指着他說的嗎？」大衛把這些話放在心裏，就很懼怕迦特王亞吉。於是他在眾人眼前一反常態，在他們中間裝瘋作癲，在城門的門扇上胡寫亂畫，任由唾沫流在鬍子上。亞吉對臣僕說：「看哪，你們看這人瘋了，為甚麼帶他到我這裏來呢？我豈缺少瘋子，你們竟然帶這人到我面前瘋癲嗎？這個人可以進我的家嗎？」

瑪利沙的居民哪，我必使搶奪者來到你這裏；以色列的貴族必來到亞杜蘭。

立拿王一人，亞杜蘭王一人，

開始收割的時候，三個侍衛下到亞杜蘭洞，到大衛那裏。非利士的軍兵在利乏音谷安營。那時大衛在山寨，非利士人的駐軍在伯利恆。

看哪，耶和華從他的居所出來，降臨步行地之高處。
