So the priest gave him the consecrated bread, since there was no bread there except the bread of the Presence that had been removed from before the Lord and replaced by hot bread on the day it was taken away.

耶穌對他們說：“大衛和跟他在一起的人，在飢餓的時候所作的，你們沒有念過嗎？他不是進了神的殿，吃了他和跟他在一起的人不可以吃，只有祭司才可以吃的陳設餅嗎？

耶穌對他們說：“大衛和跟他一起的人在飢餓缺食的時候所作的，你們沒有念過嗎？他不是在亞比亞他作大祭司的時候，進了神的殿，吃了除祭司以外誰都不可以吃的陳設餅，而且還給跟他在一起的人吃嗎？”耶穌又告訴他們：“安息日是為人設立的，人並不是為安息日設立的。

“你要取細麵烤成十二個餅，每一個餅用兩公斤細麵。你要把餅擺列成兩排，每排六個，放在耶和華面前精金的桌子（“精金的桌子”或譯：“潔淨的桌子”）上；把純乳香放在每排餅上，象徵這些餅作獻給耶和華的火祭。每一個安息日，亞倫都要把餅擺在耶和華面前，不可間斷，這是以色列人永遠的約。這餅要歸給亞倫和他的子孫，他們要在聖潔的地方吃，因為這是至聖的，在獻給耶和華的火祭中，他永遠的分。”
