Saul said nothing that day, for he thought,“ Something must have happened to David to make him ceremonially unclean— surely he is unclean.”

Yet Saul did not say anything that day, for he thought,“ Something has happened to him. He is not clean; surely he is not clean.”

觸着他的床的人要把衣服洗淨，在水中洗澡，但還是不潔淨到晚上。

『從以下這些、你們能成為不潔淨；凡觸着他們的屍體的、就不潔淨到晚上。

一切用四腳行走的獸之中、凡用腳掌行走的、你們都要以為不潔淨：凡觸着牠們的屍體的、就不潔淨到晚上。

他說：『平安；我是給永恆主獻祭來的；你們要潔淨自己為聖、來跟我赴祭筵。』撒母耳就叫耶西和他兒子們潔淨為聖，請他赴祭筵。

無論何人在田野上觸着被刀刺死的、或自己死的、或是人類的骨頭、或是墳墓、就不潔淨七天。

在一切滋生動物之中、以上這些對你們都不潔淨；牠們死了以後，凡觸着他們的、就不潔淨到晚上。

『女人呢，若有所洩漏，而她身上所洩漏的是經血，那麼、她就有月經污穢七天；凡觸着她的就不潔淨到晚上。在月經污穢中、凡她所躺的東西、都不潔淨；凡她所坐的東西、也都不潔淨。凡觸着她的床的、要把衣服洗淨，在水中洗澡，但還是不潔淨到晚上。

『人若夢遺，就要全身在水中洗澡，但還是不潔淨到晚上。無論是衣服、是皮子、被精液所染、都要用水洗淨，但還是不潔淨到晚上。

惟獨獻與永恆主的平安祭的肉、人若喫它、而身上卻有不潔淨，那人就必須從他族人中被剪除。人若觸着甚麼不潔淨、無論是人的不潔淨、或是不潔淨的牲口、或是任何不潔淨的昆蟲，而去喫屬永恆主的平安祭的肉，那人就必須從他的族人中被剪除。』

那喫了牠的屍體的、就要把衣服洗淨，但他還是不潔淨到晚上；那拿着牠的屍體的、也要把衣服洗淨，但他還是不潔淨到晚上。
