Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him[ be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

And Samuel said, When thou[ wast] little in thine own sight,[ wast] thou not[ made] the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?

Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

[ Who] laid the foundations of the earth,[ that] it should not be removed for ever.

Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens[ are] the work of thy hands.

He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings[ are they] on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.

For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also[ he that is] born in his kingdom becometh poor.

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit[ was] in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.He hath put down the mighty from[ their] seats, and exalted them of low degree.

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Who being the brightness of[ his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.
