约伯为他的朋友祈祷。耶和华就使约伯从苦境转回，并且耶和华赐给他的比他从前所有的加倍。约伯的弟兄、姐妹，和以先所认识的人都来见他，在他家里一同吃饭；又论到耶和华所降与他的一切灾祸，都为他悲伤安慰他。每人也送他一块银子和一个金环。这样，耶和华后来赐福给约伯比先前更多。他有一万四千羊，六千骆驼，一千对牛，一千母驴。

于是王高抬但以理，赏赐他许多上等礼物，派他管理巴比伦全省，又立他为总理，掌管巴比伦的一切哲士。

我亲爱的弟兄们，请听，神岂不是拣选了世上的贫穷人，叫他们在信上富足，并承受他所应许给那些爱他之人的国吗？

“我立大地根基的时候，你在哪里呢？你若有聪明，只管说吧！你若晓得就说，是谁定地的尺度？是谁把准绳拉在其上？地的根基安置在何处？地的角石是谁安放的？

又使我们成为国民，作他父神的祭司。但愿荣耀、权能归给他，直到永永远远。阿们！

又叫他们成为国民，作祭司归于神，在地上执掌王权。”

撒母耳对扫罗说：“从前你虽然以自己为小，岂不是被立为以色列支派的元首吗？耶和华膏你作以色列的王。

你可以掌管我的家；我的民都必听从你的话。惟独在宝座上我比你大。”

他把地建立在海上，安定在大水之上。

“现在，你要告诉我仆人大卫，说万军之耶和华如此说：‘我从羊圈中将你召来，叫你不再跟从羊群，立你作我民以色列的君。

将地立在根基上，使地永不动摇。

你起初立了地的根基；天也是你手所造的。

法老遂即差人去召约瑟，他们便急忙带他出监，他就剃头，刮脸，换衣裳，进到法老面前。

这是守望者所发的命，圣者所出的令，好叫世人知道至高者在人的国中掌权，要将国赐与谁就赐与谁，或立极卑微的人执掌国权。’

他不保护恶人的性命，却为困苦人伸冤。他时常看顾义人，使他们和君王同坐宝座，永远要被高举。

这人是从监牢中出来作王，在他国中，生来原是贫穷的。

因这但以理有美好的灵性，所以显然超乎其余的总长和总督，王又想立他治理通国。

他用膀臂施展大能；那狂傲的人正心里妄想就被他赶散了。他叫有权柄的失位，叫卑贱的升高；

得胜的，我要赐他在我宝座上与我同坐，就如我得了胜，在我父的宝座上与他同坐一般。

不再有黑夜；他们也不用灯光、日光，因为主神要光照他们。他们要作王，直到永永远远。

他是神荣耀所发的光辉，是神本体的真像，常用他权能的命令托住万有。他洗净了人的罪，就坐在高天至大者的右边。

约伯就坐在炉灰中，拿瓦片刮身体。
