Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed[ that] thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

故以色列之上帝耶和華曰、昔我有言、爾與爾祖之家、將恆久行於我前、今我則曰、決不如是、凡尊我者、我必重之、凡藐我者、我必輕之、

以色列族之上帝耶和華又曰、我昔有言、爾祖之家、將恆供我役、今我不然、凡尊敬我者、我尊顯之、藐視我者、亦必藐視之。

因此主以色列之天主云、我曾有言、爾之家與爾祖之家、必永在我前供祭司之職、必永在我前供祭司之職原文作永行於我前今我言、斷乎不然、凡尊重我者、我必使之得尊重、藐視我者必致愧怍、必致愧作或作必被藐視

“ Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares:‘ I promised that members of your family would minister before me forever.’ But now the Lord declares:‘ Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.

“ The Lord is the God of Israel. He announced,‘ I promised that members of your family line would serve me as priests forever.’ But now the Lord announces,‘ I will not let that happen! I will honor those who honor me. But I will turn away from those who look down on me.

Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares:‘ I promised that your house and the house of your father should go in and out before me forever,’ but now the Lord declares:‘ Far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

“ Therefore, the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I promised that your branch of the tribe of Levi would always be my priests. But I will honor those who honor me, and I will despise those who think lightly of me.

“ Therefore, this is the declaration of the LORD, the God of Israel:‘ I did say that your family and your forefather’s family would walk before me forever. But now,’ this is the LORD’s declaration,‘ no longer! For those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disgraced.

Therefore the Lord God of Israel declares,‘ I did indeed say that your house and the house of your father was to walk before Me forever’; but now the Lord declares,‘ Far be it from Me— for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me will be insignificant.

Therefore the Lord God of Israel says:‘ I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the Lord says:‘ Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.

Therefore Jehovah, the God of Israel, saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now Jehovah saith, Be it far from me; for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

“ Therefore, this is the declaration of the Lord, the God of Israel:‘ Although I said your family and your ancestral house would walk before Me forever, the Lord now says,“ No longer!” I will honor those who honor Me, but those who despise Me will be disgraced.

Therefore the LORD, the God of Israel, says,‘ I really did say that your house and your ancestor’s house would serve me forever.’ But now the LORD says,‘ May it never be! For I will honor those who honor me, but those who despise me will be cursed!

“ Therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,‘ I said indeed that your house and the house of your father should walk before me forever.’ But now Yahweh says,‘ Far be it from me; for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me will be cursed.

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will[ my] Father honour.

And[ at what] instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant[ it];If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near[ me] with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

And thou shalt gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them: and the priest’s office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons.

Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

A son honoureth[ his] father, and a servant his master: if then I[ be] a father, where[ is] mine honour? and if I[ be] a master, where[ is] my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?

I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth[ his] conversation[ aright] will I shew the salvation of God.

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou,[ and] reign over us.

Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife[ to be] thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.

Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:And he shall have it, and his seed after him,[ even] the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion[ is] an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom[ is] from generation to generation:

But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

That all[ men] should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD[ is] with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

[ But] even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which[ is] among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?

Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.

Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.

How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that[ cometh] from God only?

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy[ place]; that they bear not iniquity, and die:[ it shall be] a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
