Now the sons of Eli were wicked men. They didn’t know Yahweh.

Eli’s sons were scoundrels; they had no regard for the Lord.

Eli’s sons were good for nothing. They didn’t honor the Lord.

Now the sons of Eli were worthless men. They did not know the Lord.

Now the sons of Eli were scoundrels who had no respect for the Lord

Eli’s sons were wicked men; they did not respect the LORD

Now the sons of Eli were useless men; they did not know the Lord.

Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the Lord.

Now the sons of Eli were base men; they knew not Jehovah.

Eli’s sons were wicked men; they had no regard for the Lord

Now the sons of Eli[ were] sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.

The sons of Eli were wicked men. They did not recognize the LORD’s authority.

The priests didn’t say,‘ Where is Yahweh?’ and those who handle the law didn’t know me. The rulers also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and followed things that do not profit.

Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened.

Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers,backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

After all that generation were gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who didn’t know Yahweh, nor the work which he had done for Israel.

What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what portion does a believer have with an unbeliever?

Your habitation is in the middle of deceit. Through deceit, they refuse to know me,” says Yahweh.

You have not known him, but I know him. If I said,‘ I don’t know him,’ I would be like you, a liar. But I know him and keep his word.

Now therefore know and consider what you will do; for evil is determined against our master, and against all his house; for he is such a worthless fellow that one can’t speak to him.”

This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

As they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain wicked fellows, surrounded the house, beating at the door; and they spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying,“ Bring out the man who came into your house, that we can have sex with him!”

The two men, the wicked fellows, came in and sat before him. The wicked fellows testified against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying,“ Naboth cursed God and the king!” Then they carried him out of the city and stoned him to death with stones.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no priest to me. Because you have forgotten your God’s law, I will also forget your children.As they were multiplied, so they sinned against me. I will change their glory into shame.They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity.It will be, like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will repay them for their deeds.

certain wicked fellows have gone out from among you and have drawn away the inhabitants of their city, saying,“ Let’s go and serve other gods,” which you have not known,

They will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me.

But certain worthless fellows said,“ How could this man save us?” They despised him, and brought him no present. But he held his peace.

“ Now, you priests, this commandment is for you.If you will not listen, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to my name,” says Yahweh of Armies,“ then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.Behold, I will rebuke your offspring, and will spread dung on your faces, even the dung of your feasts; and you will be taken away with it.You will know that I have sent this commandment to you, that my covenant may be with Levi,” says Yahweh of Armies.“ My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him that he might be reverent toward me; and he was reverent toward me, and stood in awe of my name.The law of truth was in his mouth, and unrighteousness was not found in his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness, and turned many away from iniquity.For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of Yahweh of Armies.But you have turned away from the path. You have caused many to stumble in the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi,” says Yahweh of Armies.“ Therefore I have also made you contemptible and wicked before all the people, according to the way you have not kept my ways, but have had respect for persons in the law.

Set two men, wicked fellows, before him, and let them testify against him, saying,‘ You cursed God and the king!’ Then carry him out, and stone him to death.”

Now Samuel didn’t yet know Yahweh, neither was Yahweh’s word yet revealed to him.

He judged the cause of the poor and needy; so it was well, then. Wasn’t this to know me?” says Yahweh.
