Eli’s sons were wicked men; they did not respect the LORD

Eli’s sons were scoundrels; they had no regard for the Lord.

Eli’s sons were good for nothing. They didn’t honor the Lord.

Now the sons of Eli were worthless men. They did not know the Lord.

Now the sons of Eli were scoundrels who had no respect for the Lord

Now the sons of Eli were useless men; they did not know the Lord.

Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the Lord.

Now the sons of Eli were base men; they knew not Jehovah.

Eli’s sons were wicked men; they had no regard for the Lord

Now the sons of Eli[ were] sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.

The sons of Eli were wicked men. They did not recognize the LORD’s authority.

Now the sons of Eli were wicked men. They didn’t know Yahweh.

The priests quit asking,“ Where is the LORD?” The experts in the law no longer knew me, and the rulers rebelled against me. The prophets prophesied by Baal and followed useless idols.

For though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became worthless, and their senseless hearts were darkened.

And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a corrupt mind so that they do what is not right.They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, and malice. They are gossips,slanderers, God-haters, arrogant, proud, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,

That whole generation was also gathered to their ancestors. After them another generation rose up who did not know the LORD or the works he had done for Israel.

What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

You live in a world of deception. In their deception they refuse to know me. This is the LORD’s declaration.

You do not know him, but I know him. If I were to say I don’t know him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know him, and I keep his word.

Now consider carefully what you should do, because there is certain to be trouble for our master and his entire family. He is such a worthless fool nobody can talk to him!”

This is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and the one you have sent— Jesus Christ.

While they were enjoying themselves, all of a sudden, wicked men of the city surrounded the house and beat on the door. They said to the old man who was the owner of the house,“ Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him!”

The two wicked men came in and sat opposite him. Then the wicked men testified against Naboth in the presence of the people, saying,“ Naboth has cursed God and the king!” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will reject you from serving as my priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your sons.The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against me. I will change their honor into disgrace.They feed on the sin of my people; they have an appetite for their iniquity.The same judgment will happen to both people and priests. I will punish them for their ways and repay them for their deeds.

that wicked men have sprung up among you, led the inhabitants of their city astray, and said,‘ Let’s go and worship other gods,’ which you have not known,

They will do these things because they haven’t known the Father or me.

But some wicked men said,“ How can this guy save us?” They despised him and did not bring him a gift, but Saul said nothing.

“ Therefore, this decree is for you priests:If you don’t listen, and if you don’t take it to heart to honor my name,” says the LORD of Armies,“ I will send a curse among you, and I will curse your blessings. In fact, I have already begun to curse them because you are not taking it to heart.“ Look, I am going to rebuke your descendants, and I will spread animal waste over your faces, the waste from your festival sacrifices, and you will be taken away with it.Then you will know that I sent you this decree, so that my covenant with Levi may continue,” says the LORD of Armies.“ My covenant with him was one of life and peace, and I gave these to him; it called for reverence, and he revered me and stood in awe of my name.True instruction was in his mouth, and nothing wrong was found on his lips. He walked with me in peace and integrity and turned many from iniquity.For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and people should desire instruction from his mouth, because he is the messenger of the LORD of Armies.“ You, on the other hand, have turned from the way. You have caused many to stumble by your instruction. You have violated the covenant of Levi,” says the LORD of Armies.“ So I in turn have made you despised and humiliated before all the people because you are not keeping my ways but are showing partiality in your instruction.”

Then seat two wicked men opposite him and have them testify against him, saying,“ You have cursed God and the king!” Then take him out and stone him to death.

Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, because the word of the LORD had not yet been revealed to him.

He took up the case of the poor and needy; then it went well. Is this not what it means to know me? This is the LORD’s declaration.
