He took his life in his hands when he killed the Philistine. The Lord won a great victory for all Israel, and you saw it and were glad. Why then would you do wrong to an innocent man like David by killing him for no reason?”

He put his own life in danger when he killed Goliath. The Lord used him to win a great battle for the whole nation of Israel. When you saw it, you were glad. So why would you do anything to harm a man like David? He isn’t guilty of doing anything to harm you. Why would you want to kill him without any reason?”

For he took his life in his hand and he struck down the Philistine, and the Lord worked a great salvation for all Israel. You saw it, and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against innocent blood by killing David without cause?”

Have you forgotten about the time he risked his life to kill the Philistine giant and how the Lord brought a great victory to all Israel as a result? You were certainly happy about it then. Why should you murder an innocent man like David? There is no reason for it at all!”

扫罗说：“今天不可以杀人，因为今天是耶和华在以色列中施行拯救的日子。”

他们却站在那块田中间，保护了那块田，击杀了非利士人；这样耶和华拯救了以色列人，使他们获得极大的胜利。

约拿单回答他父亲扫罗说：“为什么要把他处死呢？他作了什么事呢？”

“我有罪了！我出卖了无辜的人﹙“人”原文作“血”。﹚！”他们说：“这是你的事，跟我们有什么关系？”

我父亲从前冒死为你们争战，把你们从米甸人手中救了出来；

那女人来到扫罗面前，见他非常惊慌，就对他说：“你看，婢女听从了你的话；我冒着生命危险，听从了你对我所说的话。

我的性命常在危险中，我却没有忘记你的律法。

我见你们不来拯救我，我就拚命上去攻击亚扪人，耶和华就把他们交在我的手里。你们今日为什么上我这里来攻打我呢？”

但我并不珍惜自己的性命，只求跑完我的路程，完成我从主耶稣所领受的职分，为神恩惠的福音作见证。

因他为了基督的工作，冒着生命的危险，差一点丧了命，为的是要补满你们服事我不足的地方。

那些无故恨我的，比我的头发还多；无理与我为敌，要把我灭绝的，人数众多。我没有抢夺过的，竟要我偿还。

彼拉多见无济于事，反会引起骚动，就拿水在群众面前洗手，说：“流这人的血，与我无关，你们自己负责吧。”

这就应验了他们律法上所写的话：‘他们无故地恨我。’

不过你们要确实知道，如果你们杀死我，就必使无辜的人的血归到你们和这城，以及这城的居民头上，因为耶和华实在差遣了我到你们中间，把这一切话传到你们耳中。”

众民对扫罗说：“约拿单在以色列人中行了这样大的拯救，难道一定要他死吗？绝对不可以！我们指着永活的耶和华起誓，连他一根头发也不可落在地上，因为他今天是与神一同作工。”这样，众民救了约拿单，使他免了一死。

免得无辜人的血，流在耶和华你的神要赐给你作产业的地上，以致流人血的罪归在你身上。“但是，如果有人恨他的邻舍，埋伏着等他，起来攻击他，把他杀死了，然后逃到这些城中的一座；他本城的长老要派人去，把他从那里带出来，交在报血仇的人手中，好把他处死。你的眼睛不可顾惜他，却要把流无辜人的血的罪从以色列中除掉，好使你平安无事。

大卫伸手入口袋里，从里面拿出了一块石子来，用机弦甩去，击中了那非利士人的前额；石子穿入前额里面，他就仆倒，面伏于地。这样，大卫用机弦和一块石子胜过了那非利士人。大卫击杀了那非利士人，但他手中没有刀。大卫跑过去，站在那非利士人的身边，拿起他的刀来，把刀从鞘中拔出来，杀死他，又用刀砍下他的头。非利士人看见他们的勇士死了，就都逃跑。以色列人和犹大人就起来，高声吶喊，追赶非利士人，直到迦特（按照《马索拉文本》，“迦特”作“山谷”；现参照《七十士译本》翻译）的入口和以革伦的城门。被刺死的非利士人都倒在沙拉音的路上，直到迦特和以革伦。以色列人穷追非利士人回来以后，就抢掠他们的营房。

摩西对人民说：“不要惧怕，要站着，观看耶和华今天为你们施行的拯救；因为你们今天看见的埃及人，必永远不再看见了。

如果我们忽略了这么大的救恩，怎么能逃罪呢？这救恩起初是由主亲自宣讲的，后来听见的人给我们证实了。

等候你的必不羞愧，但那些无故以诡诈待人的必要羞愧。
