The next morning Jonathan spoke with his father about David, saying many good things about him.“ The king must not sin against his servant David,” Jonathan said.“ He’s never done anything to harm you. He has always helped you in any way he could.

那以惡報善的人，惡事不會離開他的家。

他們用控告來回報我的愛，但我不斷地禱告。他們對我以惡報善，以恨報愛。

亞希米勒回答王說：「在你所有的臣僕中，有誰像大衛那樣忠誠呢？他是王的女婿，又是你的侍衛長，在你家中受尊重。

那殺人流血的，他必被殺流血，因為神是按照自己的形像造人的。

人如果對人犯罪，有神可以為他調解；人如果對耶和華犯罪，有誰能為他調解呢？」但他們不聽從父親的話，因為耶和華定意要他們死。

當你們這樣對弟兄犯罪，打擊他們軟弱良心的時候，就是對基督犯罪。

有人被拉向死地，你要解救；有人踉蹌著去殺戮之地，你一定要攔阻！如果你說：「看哪，我不知道這事！」難道衡量人心的那一位不了解嗎？難道守護你靈魂的那一位不知道嗎？難道他不照著各人所做的回報各人嗎？

凡是恨自己弟兄的，就是殺人的，而你們知道：凡是殺人的，就沒有永恆的生命住在他裡面。
