The next day an evil spirit from God came forcefully on Saul. He was prophesying in his house, while David was playing the lyre, as he usually did. Saul had a spear in his hand

The next day an evil spirit sent by God came powerfully on Saul. Saul began to prophesy in his house. At that same time David began to play the harp, just as he usually did. Saul was holding a spear.

The next day a harmful spirit from God rushed upon Saul, and he raved within his house while David was playing the lyre, as he did day by day. Saul had his spear in his hand.

The very next day a tormenting spirit from God overwhelmed Saul, and he began to rave in his house like a madman. David was playing the harp, as he did each day. But Saul had a spear in his hand,

The next day an evil spirit sent from God came powerfully on Saul, and he began to rave inside the palace. David was playing the lyre as usual, but Saul was holding a spear,

Now it came about on the next day that an evil spirit from God rushed upon Saul, and he raved in the midst of the house while David was playing the harp with his hand, as usual; and a spear was in Saul’s hand.

And it happened on the next day that the distressing spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied inside the house. So David played music with his hand, as at other times; but there was a spear in Saul’s hand.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that an evil spirit from God came mightily upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as he did day by day. And Saul had his spear in his hand;

一天，扫罗手里拿着矛正坐在家中，从耶和华那里来的邪灵降临在扫罗身上。大卫正在弹琴，

一天，我们又去河边那个祷告的地方，途中遇到一个被巫鬼附身的女奴。她用占卜为她的主人们赚了不少钱。

耶和华说，‘谁愿意去引诱亚哈到基列的拉末去送死呢？’众天军议论纷纷。后来，有一个灵站出来对耶和华说他愿意去。耶和华问他用什么方法，他说，‘我要做谎言之灵，进入他众先知的口中。’耶和华说，‘你必能成功，就这样做吧。’现在，耶和华已经把谎言之灵放进这些先知口中，耶和华已决意降祸给你。”

每当有邪灵从上帝那里来到扫罗身上的时候，大卫就为他弹琴，扫罗便觉得舒畅，邪灵也离开了他。

上帝就让他们是非不辨，去相信那些虚假的谎言，

他们不断地狂呼乱叫，直到献晚祭的时候，仍然毫无动静，没有半点反应。

我主我王，请听仆人说，如果是耶和华使你与我作对，愿祂悦纳我献上的祭物；如果这是出于人的主意，愿他们在耶和华面前受咒诅。因为他们赶我离开耶和华所赐的产业，叫我去服侍外族人的神明。

耶和华的灵离开了扫罗，有个邪灵从耶和华那里来折磨他。扫罗的臣仆对他说：“现在有个邪灵从上帝那里来折磨你，你可以吩咐跟前的臣仆去找一个善于弹琴的人来。邪灵从上帝那里来到你身上的时候，他为你弹琴，你就会好。”

扫罗便去拉玛的拿约。上帝的灵临到扫罗，他就一边走一边说起预言来，一直到拉玛的拿约。他脱下自己的衣服，在撒母耳面前说起预言来。他赤身躺了一天一夜。因此有句俗语说：“扫罗也在先知当中吗？”

“以色列的上帝——万军之耶和华说，‘我必折断巴比伦王奴役你们的轭。两年之内，我必把巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒从耶和华殿中掳到巴比伦的器皿取回来；我也必把犹大王约雅敬的儿子耶哥尼雅和其他被掳到巴比伦的犹大人带回来，因为我要折断巴比伦王奴役你们的轭。这是耶和华说的。’”

然后当众说：“耶和华说，‘两年之内，我要照样折断巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒加在列国颈上的轭。’”于是耶利米先知离开了那里。

“到那天，我必铲除地上偶像的名号，使它们被人遗忘；我必除去地上的假先知和污秽的灵。这是万军之耶和华说的。若有人再说预言，他的亲生父母必对他说，‘你不得活命，因为你奉耶和华的名说谎。’他说预言的时候，他的亲生父母必把他刺死。到那天，先知必因自己所讲的异象而羞愧，不再穿着毛皮衣欺骗人。他必说，‘我不是先知，我是农夫，我从小便以种田为生。’

所有的先知也都预言说：“去攻打基列的拉末吧，一定得胜，耶和华必将那城交在王的手中。”
