滅了烈火的威力，逃脫了刀劍的鋒刃，從軟弱中得以剛強，在戰爭中得以強大，擊敗了外國的軍隊。

祭司回答：「你在以拉溪谷擊殺的那非利士人歌利亞的刀，看哪，用布蒙著，放在以弗得後面。如果你要拿走它，就拿走吧；除此以外，這裡沒有別的。」大衛說：「沒有比它更好的了，把它給我吧！」

他還擊殺了一個埃及人，是個身材健壯的人；這埃及人手中有長矛，比納雅卻拿著杖下去與他對敵，從埃及人手中搶奪了長矛，用那長矛把他殺了。

所以，孩子們既然同屬血肉之體，他也照樣同有一樣的血肉之體，為要藉著死亡來廢除那掌握死亡權勢的——就是魔鬼，

他挖了坑，挖得很深，自己卻掉進所挖的深坑裡。他的禍患將歸到自己的頭上，他的殘暴將落在自己的頭頂。

於是人就把哈曼掛在他為末迪凱所預備的木架上。王的怒火這才平息了。
