消灭了烈火的威力，逃脱了刀剑的锋刃，软弱变成刚强，在战争中显出大能，把外国的军队击退。

“那起来攻击你的仇敌，耶和华必使他们在你面前被击败；他们从一条路出来攻击你，必在你面前从七条路逃跑。

藉着你，我攻破敌军；靠着我的神，我跳过墙垣。

既是这样，我们对这一切还有什么话说呢？神若这样为我们，谁能敌对我们呢？

你们一人可以追赶千人，因为耶和华你们的神，照着他应许你们的，为你们作战。

你们必追赶仇敌，他们必在你们面前倒在刀下。你们五个人必追赶一百人，一百人必追赶一万人；你们的仇敌必在你们面前倒在刀下。
