“ After Jacob entered Egypt, they cried to the Lord for help, and the Lord sent Moses and Aaron, who brought your ancestors out of Egypt and settled them in this place.

“ After Jacob’s family entered Egypt, they cried out to the Lord for help. The Lord sent Moses and Aaron. They brought your people out of Egypt. They had them make their homes in this land.

When Jacob went into Egypt, and the Egyptians oppressed them, then your fathers cried out to the Lord and the Lord sent Moses and Aaron, who brought your fathers out of Egypt and made them dwell in this place.

“ When the Israelites were in Egypt and cried out to the Lord, he sent Moses and Aaron to rescue them from Egypt and to bring them into this land.

I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what you shall do.He will be your spokesman to the people. It will happen that he will be to you a mouth, and you will be to him as God.

In the course of those many days, the king of Egypt died, and the children of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

and he said to the children of Israel,“ Yahweh, the God of Israel, says‘ I brought Israel up out of Egypt, and I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all the kingdoms that oppressed you.’

how our fathers went down into Egypt, and we lived in Egypt a long time. The Egyptians mistreated us and our fathers.

“ Be strong and courageous; for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

Jacob went down into Egypt and he died, himself and our fathers,

Samuel said to the people,“ It is Yahweh who appointed Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.

Thus Yahweh saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.Israel saw the great work which Yahweh did to the Egyptians, and the people feared Yahweh; and they believed in Yahweh and in his servant Moses.

That same day, Yahweh brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

He brought them to the border of his sanctuary, to this mountain, which his right hand had taken.He also drove out the nations before them, allotted them for an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

Jacob rose up from Beersheba, and the sons of Israel carried Jacob, their father, their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.They took their livestock, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt— Jacob, and all his offspring with him,his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and he brought all his offspring with him into Egypt.

Joshua said,“ By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, and the Jebusite out from before you.Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passes over before you into the Jordan.Now therefore take twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, for every tribe a man.It shall be that when the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of Yahweh, the Lord of all the earth, rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan will be cut off. The waters that come down from above shall stand in one heap.”

Now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to me. Moreover I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.Come now therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”

We have heard with our ears, God; our fathers have told us what work you did in their days, in the days of old.You drove out the nations with your hand, but you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, but you spread them abroad.For they didn’t get the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, because you were favorable to them.

These are that Aaron and Moses to whom Yahweh said,“ Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.”

Yahweh said to Aaron,“ Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” He went, and met him on God’s mountain, and kissed him.Moses told Aaron all Yahweh’s words with which he had sent him, and all the signs with which he had instructed him.Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel.Aaron spoke all the words which Yahweh had spoken to Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.The people believed, and when they heard that Yahweh had visited the children of Israel, and that he had seen their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.

He gave them the lands of the nations. They took the labor of the peoples in possession,

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go across this Jordan, you and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them, even to the children of Israel.I have given you every place that the sole of your foot will tread on, as I told Moses.From the wilderness and this Lebanon even to the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border.
