So he said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and His anointed is witness this day that you have found nothing in my hand.” And they said,“ He is witness.”

撒母耳对他们说：“耶和华和祂所膏立的王今天为我作证，我没有拿过你们任何人的东西。”他们说：“是的，耶和华为证。”

撒母耳对他们说：“今天耶和华在你们中间作见证，他的膏立者也作见证；你们在我手里没有找到什么。”他们说：“愿他作证。”

曰、今日耶和華及受膏者為證、汝之所有、未得於我手。僉曰、俱為證。

曰、屬爾之物、爾曹於我手無所得、有主與主所立受膏者今日為證、眾民曰、願為證、

Samuel said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and also his anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand.”“ He is witness,” they said.

Samuel said to them,“ The Lord is a witness against you this day. And so is his anointed king. They are witnesses that I haven’t taken anything from any of you.”“ The Lord is a witness,” they said.

And he said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand.” And they said,“ He is witness.”

“ The Lord and his anointed one are my witnesses today,” Samuel declared,“ that my hands are clean.”“ Yes, he is a witness,” they replied.

He said to them,“ The LORD is a witness against you, and his anointed is a witness today that you haven’t found anything in my hand.”“ He is a witness,” they said.

Then he said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and His anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand.” And they answered,“ He is witness.”

And he said unto them, Jehovah is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that ye have not found aught in my hand. And they said, He is witness.

He said to them,“ The Lord is a witness against you, and His anointed is a witness today that you haven’t found anything in my hand.”“ He is a witness,” they said.

And he said unto them, The LORD[ is] witness against you, and his anointed[ is] witness this day, that ye have not found ought in my hand. And they answered,[ He is] witness.

He said to them,“ The LORD is witness against you, and his chosen king is witness this day, that you have not found any reason to accuse me.” They said,“ He is witness!”

He said to them,“ Yahweh is witness against you, and his anointed is witness today, that you have not found anything in my hand.” They said,“ He is witness.”

If what he stole is actually found alive in his possession, whether an ox or a donkey or a sheep, he shall pay double.

Or else have these men themselves declare what violation they discovered when I stood before the Council,

And a great uproar occurred; and some of the scribes of the Pharisaic party stood up and started arguing heatedly, saying,“ We find nothing wrong with this man; suppose a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?”

For our proud confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you.

For I am not aware of anything against myself; however I am not vindicated by this, but the one who examines me is the Lord.

In view of this I also do my best to maintain a blameless conscience both before God and before other people, always.

Oh that I had one to hear me! Here is my signature; Let the Almighty answer me! And the indictment which my adversary has written,I would certainly carry it on my shoulder, I would tie it to myself like a garland.I would declare to Him the number of my steps; Like a prince, I would approach Him.“ If my land cries out against me, And its furrows weep together;If I have eaten its fruit without money, Or have caused its owners to lose their lives,May the thorn bush grow instead of wheat, And stinkweed instead of barley.” The words of Job are ended.

It came about after the Lord had spoken these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite,“ My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends, because you have not spoken of Me what is trustworthy, as My servant Job has.

But David said to Abishai,“ Do not kill him, for who can reach out with his hand against the Lord’s anointed and remain innocent?”

Pilate* said to Him,“ What is truth?” And after saying this, he came out again to the Jews and* said to them,“ I find no grounds at all for charges in His case.

You have put my heart to the test; You have visited me by night; You have sifted me and You find nothing; My intent is that my mouth will not offend.
