He said to them,“ The LORD is a witness against you, and his anointed is a witness today that you haven’t found anything in my hand.”“ He is a witness,” they said.

撒母耳对他们说：“今天耶和华在你们中间作见证，他的膏立者也作见证；你们在我手里没有找到什么。”他们说：“愿他作证。”

曰、屬爾之物、爾曹於我手無所得、有主與主所立受膏者今日為證、眾民曰、願為證、

Samuel said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and also his anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand.”“ He is witness,” they said.

Samuel said to them,“ The Lord is a witness against you this day. And so is his anointed king. They are witnesses that I haven’t taken anything from any of you.”“ The Lord is a witness,” they said.

And he said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand.” And they said,“ He is witness.”

“ The Lord and his anointed one are my witnesses today,” Samuel declared,“ that my hands are clean.”“ Yes, he is a witness,” they replied.

So he said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and His anointed is witness this day that you have found nothing in my hand.” And they said,“ He is witness.”

Then he said to them,“ The Lord is witness against you, and His anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand.” And they answered,“ He is witness.”

And he said unto them, Jehovah is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that ye have not found aught in my hand. And they said, He is witness.

He said to them,“ The Lord is a witness against you, and His anointed is a witness today that you haven’t found anything in my hand.”“ He is a witness,” they said.

And he said unto them, The LORD[ is] witness against you, and his anointed[ is] witness this day, that ye have not found ought in my hand. And they answered,[ He is] witness.

He said to them,“ The LORD is witness against you, and his chosen king is witness this day, that you have not found any reason to accuse me.” They said,“ He is witness!”

He said to them,“ Yahweh is witness against you, and his anointed is witness today, that you have not found anything in my hand.” They said,“ He is witness.”

If what was stolen— whether ox, donkey, or sheep— is actually found alive in his possession, he must repay double.

Or let these men here state what wrongdoing they found in me when I stood before the Sanhedrin,

The shouting grew loud, and some of the scribes of the Pharisees’ party got up and argued vehemently,“ We find nothing evil in this man. What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?”

Indeed, this is our boast: The testimony of our conscience is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you, with godly sincerity and purity, not by human wisdom but by God’s grace.

For I am not conscious of anything against myself, but I am not justified by this. It is the Lord who judges me.

I always strive to have a clear conscience toward God and men.

If only I had someone to hear my case! Here is my signature; let the Almighty answer me. Let my Opponent compose his indictment.I would surely carry it on my shoulder and wear it like a crown.I would give him an account of all my steps; I would approach him like a prince.If my land cries out against me and its furrows join in weeping,if I have consumed its produce without payment or shown contempt for its tenants,then let thorns grow instead of wheat and stinkweed instead of barley. After the LORD had finished speaking to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite,“ I am angry with you and your two friends, for you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.

But David said to Abishai,“ Don’t destroy him, for who can lift a hand against the LORD’s anointed and be innocent?”

“ What is truth?” said Pilate. After he had said this, he went out to the Jews again and told them,“ I find no grounds for charging him.

You have tested my heart; you have examined me at night. You have tried me and found nothing evil; I have determined that my mouth will not sin.
