何嘗奪人之牛驢、何嘗虐取人、挾制人、受人之賄賂以蔽我明、有一於此、我即償之。我在此於耶和華前、及受膏者前、彼得為證。

我在此、爾可於主前及主所立受膏者前、證我曾奪誰之牛、曾奪誰之驢、曾挾制誰、曾暴虐誰、曾受誰之賄而掩我目、若有、我即償之、

Here I stand. Testify against me in the presence of the Lord and his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Whom have I cheated? Whom have I oppressed? From whose hand have I accepted a bribe to make me shut my eyes? If I have done any of these things, I will make it right.”

Here I stand. Bring charges against me if you can. The Lord is a witness. And so is his anointed king. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Have I cheated anyone? Have I treated anyone badly? Have I accepted money from anyone who wanted special favors? If I’ve done any of these things, I’ll make it right.”

Here I am; testify against me before the Lord and before his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Or whose donkey have I taken? Or whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Or from whose hand have I taken a bribe to blind my eyes with it? Testify against me and I will restore it to you.”

Now testify against me in the presence of the Lord and before his anointed one. Whose ox or donkey have I stolen? Have I ever cheated any of you? Have I ever oppressed you? Have I ever taken a bribe and perverted justice? Tell me and I will make right whatever I have done wrong.”

Here I am; testify against me before the Lord and His anointed. Whose ox have I taken, or whose donkey have I taken, or whom have I exploited? Whom have I oppressed, or from whose hand have I taken a bribe to close my eyes with it? I will return it to you.”

Here I am. Witness against me before the Lord and before His anointed: Whose ox have I taken, or whose donkey have I taken, or whom have I cheated? Whom have I oppressed, or from whose hand have I received any bribe with which to blind my eyes? I will restore it to you.”

Here I am: witness against me before Jehovah, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I taken a ransom to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.

Behold, here I[ am]: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received[ any] bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.

Here I am. Bring a charge against me before the LORD and before his chosen king. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Whom have I wronged? Whom have I oppressed? From whose hand have I taken a bribe so that I would overlook something? Tell me, and I will return it to you!”

Here I am. Witness against me before Yahweh, and before his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Of whose hand have I taken a bribe to make me blind my eyes? I will restore it to you.”

Then Moses became angry and said to the Lord,“ Don’t respect their offering. I have not taken one donkey from them or mistreated a single one of them.”

I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing.

He said to his men,“ I swear before the Lord: I would never do such a thing to my lord, the Lord’s anointed. I will never lift my hand against him, since he is the Lord’s anointed.”

Samuel took the flask of oil, poured it out on Saul’s head, kissed him, and said,“ Hasn’t the Lord anointed you ruler over His inheritance?

Do not deny justice or show partiality to anyone. Do not accept a bribe, for it blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.

You must not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and corrupts the words of the righteous.

Shepherd God’s flock among you, not overseeing out of compulsion but freely, according to God’s will; not for the money but eagerly;

He said to them,“ The Lord is a witness against you, and His anointed is a witness today that you haven’t found anything in my hand.”“ He is a witness,” they said.

Do not covet your neighbor’s house. Do not covet your neighbor’s wife, his male or female slave, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

You are witnesses, and so is God, of how devoutly, righteously, and blamelessly we conducted ourselves with you believers.

David questioned him,“ How is it that you were not afraid to lift your hand to destroy the Lord’s anointed?”Then David summoned one of his servants and said,“ Come here and kill him!” The servant struck him, and he died.For David had said to the Amalekite,“ Your blood is on your own head because your own mouth testified against you by saying,‘ I killed the Lord’s anointed.’”

For we never used flattering speech, as you know, or had greedy motives— God is our witness—

once he has sinned and acknowledged his guilt— he must return what he stole or defrauded, or the deposit entrusted to him, or the lost item he found,

Now I am ready to come to you this third time. I will not burden you, for I am not seeking what is yours, but you. For children are not obligated to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.

Everyone must submit to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are instituted by God.So then, the one who resists the authority is opposing God’s command, and those who oppose it will bring judgment on themselves.For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have its approval.For government is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, because it does not carry the sword for no reason. For government is God’s servant, an avenger that brings wrath on the one who does wrong.Therefore, you must submit, not only because of wrath, but also because of your conscience.And for this reason you pay taxes, since the authorities are God’s public servants, continually attending to these tasks.Pay your obligations to everyone: taxes to those you owe taxes, tolls to those you owe tolls, respect to those you owe respect, and honor to those you owe honor.

“ Caesar’s,” they said to Him. Then He said to them,“ Therefore give back to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

If what was stolen— whether ox, donkey, or sheep— is actually found alive in his possession, he must repay double.

But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord,“ Look, I’ll give half of my possessions to the poor, Lord! And if I have extorted anything from anyone, I’ll pay back four times as much!”
