你们都知道收割麦子的时候不会下雨。现在，我要向耶和华祷告，求祂打雷降雨，好让你们知道，你们要求立王在耶和华眼中是多么大的罪。”

现今不是收割麦子的时候吗？我要向耶和华呼求，他就会打雷降雨，你们就可以知道，又可以看见，你们为自己要求立王的事，在耶和华看来，是行了极大的恶事。”

今日不是收割小麦的时候吗？我向耶和华呼求，他就会降下雷雨。这样你们就会知道并看见你们为自己要求一个王，在耶和华眼中是行了极大的恶事！”

今非刈麥之時乎、我籲耶和華、彼將發雷降雨、令爾明知爾求立王、乃為大惡於耶和華前、

今值麥秋、我呼籲耶和華、彼將使雷震雨降、令爾知爾欲立王、已干大戾於耶和華前。

今非麥秋乎、我呼籲主、主必使雷震雨降、令爾知、今爾見、爾之求王、實為大惡於主前、

Is it not wheat harvest now? I will call on the Lord to send thunder and rain. And you will realize what an evil thing you did in the eyes of the Lord when you asked for a king.”

Like snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honor is not fitting for a fool.

Yahweh said to Samuel,“ Listen to the voice of the people in all that they tell you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me as the king over them.

Samuel took a suckling lamb, and offered it for a whole burnt offering to Yahweh. Samuel cried to Yahweh for Israel; and Yahweh answered him.As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines came near to battle against Israel; but Yahweh thundered with a great thunder on that day on the Philistines, and confused them; and they were struck down before Israel.

Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn’t rain on the earth for three years and six months.He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

Then Joshua spoke to Yahweh in the day when Yahweh delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel. He said in the sight of Israel,“ Sun, stand still on Gibeon! You, moon, stop in the valley of Aijalon!”

Then Yahweh said to me,“ Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not turn toward this people. Cast them out of my sight, and let them go out!

Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who call on his name. They called on Yahweh, and he answered them.
