總要以恩慈、憐憫的心彼此相待，要互相饒恕，正如上帝在基督裡饒恕了你們一樣。

如果你們犯罪受責打，能夠忍受得住，有什麼功勞呢？但如果你們因行善而受苦，還能忍受，就是上帝所喜悅的。你們蒙召也是為此，因為基督也為你們受過苦，給你們留下榜樣，叫你們可以追隨祂的腳步。祂沒有犯罪，口中也沒有詭詐。祂被辱駡也不還口，被迫害也不揚言報復，只把自己交託給按公義施行審判的上帝。

那時，王會對右邊的人說，『我父所賜福的人啊，來承受創世以來為你們預備的國度吧。

我們知道，上帝使萬事互相效力，使那些愛上帝，就是上帝按自己的旨意呼召的人得益處。

你們忍受短暫的苦難之後，廣施恩典、在基督裡呼召你們享受祂永遠榮耀的上帝必親自復興你們，使你們剛強、篤定、堅立。

祂所預定的人，祂也呼召他們；祂所呼召的人，祂也稱他們為義人；祂稱為義人的，祂也使他們得榮耀。

「我必賜福給你，使你子孫眾多。」

無論誰為我的名而撇下房屋、弟兄、姊妹、父母、兒女或田地，都要得到百倍的賞賜，而且承受永生。

耶穌正要上路，有一個人跑來跪在祂跟前，問祂：「良善的老師，我該做什麼才能承受永生？」

一位官長問耶穌：「良善的老師，我該做什麼才能承受永生？」

有一次，一名律法教師站起來試探耶穌，說：「老師，我應該怎樣做才能得永生呢？」
