要为真道打美好的仗，要持定永生。你是为永生蒙召的，并在许多见证人面前做过美好的见证。

他认定上帝能使死人复活，从象征意义上说，他也确实从死亡中得回了以撒。

他们往前走的时候，经过一处有水的地方，太监说：“你看，这里有水，我可以在这里接受洗礼吗？”

亲爱的弟兄姊妹，我们既然有这些应许，就当洗净自己身体和灵魂一切的污秽，存着敬畏上帝的心追求完全圣洁。

我们感到自豪的是：我们本着上帝所赐的圣洁和诚实为人处世，倚靠祂的恩典，不倚靠人的聪明才智，对待你们更是这样。这一点，我们的良心可以作证。
