耶和華曰、人既縱欲、我神必不恆牖其衷、然尚可延其生命、至於一百二十年。

挪亞得上帝默示未來之事、信而畏之、遂造方舟、以救其眷屬、於是挪亞罪此世、信而得稱義、

耶和華鑒觀世人、作惡貫盈、心所圖維、恆壞惡念。

先古之世、其俗澆漓、為上帝所責、災以洪水、惟傳道義之挪亞、暨其眷聚八人得救、

挪亞乃與妻子暨媳、俱出、

洪水氾濫及至四旬、水勢洶湧、舟浮於地。水愈橫溢、舟溯洄於水面。橫流益甚、天下高山、為之湮沒。其勢洋溢、高於諸山、一丈有五。○昆蟲禽獸、六畜、與人、以及生物動於地者、俱已沉沒。凡在陸地、有鼻可通呼吸者、咸就死亡。在地民族、及各生物、昆蟲、六畜、飛鳥、一切翦滅、獨挪亞與在舟者得存。

抑藐視其鴻慈、寛容、恆忍、不知上帝之仁愛、導爾悔改乎、乃爾剛愎、罔有悛心、積愆干怒、待上帝震怒、義鞫顯日、

曰、竭力爭進窄門、吾語汝、求入不得者多也、家主起而閉門、爾曹立於外、叩門曰、主也、主也、為我啟之、彼將曰、奚自、我不識爾、

水濯以潔之、傳道而使為聖、

上帝謂挪亞曰、緣世億兆、暴虐徧行、我必翦滅、使之云亡。○爾可刳木為方舟、中為房、以瀝青塗其內外。其式長三十丈、闊五丈、高三丈、舟必作蓋、其上僅徑一尺、傍置一門、必作三層、分上中下焉。我必令洪水氾濫於地、翦滅億兆、天下凡有血氣者、必淪胥以亡。今與爾約、爾可入舟、若妻、若子、若媳、咸挈以登。將諸生物族類、牝牡各一、挈之登舟、以延其命。禽鳥、六畜、昆蟲、皆依其類、每族各以偶至、以延其命。爾必為己及物、蓄諸食品、以供所需。挪亞遵上帝命而行。耶和華謂挪亞曰、我鑒觀斯世、惟汝為義、爾率眷屬、以登方舟。畜中潔者、取牝牡七、不潔者、取牝牡二。飛鳥亦取雌雄七、以存其種於世。越七日、吾降霪雨、必浹四旬、晝夜不絕、凡所造之生物、盡滅於地。挪亞悉循耶和華命。當洪水淹地時、挪亞適六百歲。即與妻子及媳、俱登方舟、以避洪水。

引而之生、其門也窄、其路也狹、得之者少、○

上帝欲彰厥威、示其能、每恆忍包容諸可怒可毀之器、

當是日、挪亞率妻及子、閃、含、雅弗、與三媳、皆登方舟。

惟耶和華上帝、施仁行義、矜憫為懷彼必欲勃然而興、以恩加爾、凡恃主者、必蒙福祉、

如挪亞時、其人飲食、嫁娶、迨挪亞入方舟之日、洪水至而湮眾、人子之日亦然、如羅得時、其人飲食貿易、樹蓺搆造、迨羅得出所多馬之日、天雨火硫而滅眾、人子顯日亦如是、

有如揶亞之日、人子之臨亦然、洪水之先、其人飲食、嫁娶、迨挪亞入方舟日、莫有知者、忽洪水至而湮眾、人子之臨亦然、

主由是觀之、主寛容我、我儕得救、我良朋保羅、賴所賦之智、以書達汝、

上帝眷念挪亞、以及在舟之百獸、六畜、令風吹地、水勢漸平、

群小子勿懼、天父喜悅、將以國賜爾、

上帝使我為基督之香、俾得救及沉淪臭之、沉淪者臭此、則為死之臭、致死、得救者臭此、則為生之香、致生、誰堪任此乎、
