But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed.“ Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”

But suppose you do suffer for doing what is right. Even then you will be blessed. Scripture says,“ Don’t fear what others say they will do to hurt you. Don’t be afraid.”( Isaiah 8:12)

But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled,

But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.

For it brings favor if, because of a consciousness of God, someone endures grief from suffering unjustly.For what credit is there if when you do wrong and are beaten, you endure it? But when you do what is good and suffer, if you endure it, this brings favor with God.

Do not call everything a conspiracy that these people say is a conspiracy. Do not fear what they fear; do not be terrified.You are to regard only the LORD of Armies as holy. Only he should be feared; only he should be held in awe.

Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you, insult you, and slander your name as evil because of the Son of Man.“ Rejoice in that day and leap for joy. Take note— your reward is great in heaven, for this is the way their ancestors used to treat the prophets.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.“ You are blessed when they insult you and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of me.Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

“ Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

“ Truly I tell you,” Jesus said,“ there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the gospel,

Instead, rejoice as you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may also rejoice with great joy when his glory is revealed.If you are ridiculed for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.Let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or a meddler.But if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed but let him glorify God in having that name.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of me will find it.

So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and in difficulties, for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Do not be afraid of anyone, for I will be with you to rescue you. This is the LORD’s declaration.

Anyone who finds his life will lose it, and anyone who loses his life because of me will find it.

I— I am the one who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear humans who die, or a son of man who is given up like grass?

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields because of my name will receive a hundred times more and will inherit eternal life.

Blessed is the one who endures trials, because when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. You have become her children when you do what is good and do not fear any intimidation.

“ I say to you, my friends, don’t fear those who kill the body, and after that can do nothing more.But I will show you the one to fear: Fear him who has authority to throw people into hell after death. Yes, I say to you, this is the one to fear!

For it has been granted to you on Christ’s behalf not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,

I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”

You will even be brought before governors and kings because of me, to bear witness to them and to the Gentiles.But when they hand you over, don’t worry about how or what you are to speak. For you will be given what to say at that hour,because it isn’t you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father is speaking through you.“ Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise up against parents and have them put to death.You will be hated by everyone because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

The Lord said to Paul in a night vision,“ Don’t be afraid, but keep on speaking and don’t be silent.For I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to hurt you, because I have many people in this city.”

So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of me and the gospel will save it.

You know, LORD; remember me and take note of me. Avenge me against my persecutors. In your patience, don’t take me away. Know that I suffer disgrace for your honor.
