People will answer,‘ Because they have forsaken the Lord their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them— that is why the Lord brought all this disaster on them.’”

人们会回答，‘因为他们背弃曾领他们祖先离开埃及的耶和华——他们的上帝，去追随、祭拜、供奉别的神明，所以耶和华把这一切灾祸降在他们身上。’”

人要回答说：是因为他们离弃了那把他们的列祖从埃及地领出来的耶和华他们的神，去亲近别的神，敬拜他们，事奉他们，因此耶和华使这一切灾祸临到他们。’”

人必回答說：「是因為這地的人離棄了那領他們列祖出埃及地的永恆主他們的上帝，去依附着別的神、而敬拜服事他們；所以永恆主才使這一切災禍臨到他們呀。」』

則將應之曰、昔其上帝耶和華、導其列祖出埃及、彼乃棄之、歸向他神、崇拜奉事之、故降是災於彼、○

則必答曰、昔其上帝耶和華、導其列祖出於埃及、彼乃違逆、反簡他上帝、奉事崇拜、故耶和華降以是災。

則必答曰、緣斯民棄主其天主、昔導其列祖出伊及者、親暱他神、奉事崇拜、故主降以是災、○

People will answer,‘ Because they have deserted the Lord their God. He brought out of Egypt their people of long ago. But they have been holding on to other gods. They’ve been worshiping them. They’ve been serving them. That’s why the Lord has brought all this horrible trouble on them.’ ”

Then they will say,‘ Because they abandoned the Lord their God who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt and laid hold on other gods and worshiped them and served them. Therefore the Lord has brought all this disaster on them.’”

“ And the answer will be,‘ Because his people abandoned the Lord their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and they worshiped other gods instead and bowed down to them. That is why the Lord has brought all these disasters on them.’”

Then they will say,“ Because they abandoned the LORD their God who brought their ancestors out of the land of Egypt. They held on to other gods and bowed in worship to them and served them. Because of this, the LORD brought all this ruin on them.”

And they will say,‘ Because they abandoned the Lord their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and they adopted other gods and worshiped and served them, for that reason the Lord has brought all this adversity on them.’ ”

Then they will answer,‘ Because they forsook the Lord their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore the Lord has brought all this calamity on them.’”

and they shall answer, Because they forsook Jehovah their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath Jehovah brought all this evil upon them.

Then they will say: Because they abandoned the Lord their God who brought their ancestors out of the land of Egypt. They clung to other gods and worshiped and served them. Because of this, the Lord brought all this ruin on them.

And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

Others will then answer,‘ Because they abandoned the LORD their God, who led their ancestors out of Egypt. They embraced other gods whom they worshiped and served. That is why the LORD has brought all this disaster down on them.’”

and they will answer,‘ Because they abandoned Yahweh their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them, and served them. Therefore Yahweh has brought all this evil on them.’”

And when the people ask,‘ Why has the Lord our God done all this to us?’ you will tell them,‘ As you have forsaken me and served foreign gods in your own land, so now you will serve foreigners in a land not your own.’

Cross over to the coasts of Cyprus and look, send to Kedar and observe closely; see if there has ever been anything like this:Has a nation ever changed its gods?( Yet they are not gods at all.) But my people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols.Be appalled at this, you heavens, and shudder with great horror,” declares the Lord.“ My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.

Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the Lord your God and have no awe of me,” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.

And the answer will be:“ It is because this people abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their ancestors, the covenant he made with them when he brought them out of Egypt.They went off and worshiped other gods and bowed down to them, gods they did not know, gods he had not given them.Therefore the Lord’s anger burned against this land, so that he brought on it all the curses written in this book.In furious anger and in great wrath the Lord uprooted them from their land and thrust them into another land, as it is now.”

People will answer,‘ Because they have forsaken the Lord, the God of their ancestors, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them— that is why he brought all this disaster on them.’”

“ I will stretch out my hand against Judah and against all who live in Jerusalem. I will destroy every remnant of Baal worship in this place, the very names of the idolatrous priests—those who bow down on the roofs to worship the starry host, those who bow down and swear by the Lord and who also swear by Molek,

“ Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by their conduct and their actions. Their conduct was like a woman’s monthly uncleanness in my sight.So I poured out my wrath on them because they had shed blood in the land and because they had defiled it with their idols.I dispersed them among the nations, and they were scattered through the countries; I judged them according to their conduct and their actions.And wherever they went among the nations they profaned my holy name, for it was said of them,‘ These are the Lord’s people, and yet they had to leave his land.’

All your enemies open their mouths wide against you; they scoff and gnash their teeth and say,“ We have swallowed her up. This is the day we have waited for; we have lived to see it.”The Lord has done what he planned; he has fulfilled his word, which he decreed long ago. He has overthrown you without pity, he has let the enemy gloat over you, he has exalted the horn of your foes.

“ When you tell these people all this and they ask you,‘ Why has the Lord decreed such a great disaster against us? What wrong have we done? What sin have we committed against the Lord our God?’then say to them,‘ It is because your ancestors forsook me,’ declares the Lord,‘ and followed other gods and served and worshiped them. They forsook me and did not keep my law.But you have behaved more wickedly than your ancestors. See how all of you are following the stubbornness of your evil hearts instead of obeying me.So I will throw you out of this land into a land neither you nor your ancestors have known, and there you will serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.’

But it happened because of the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, who shed within her the blood of the righteous.Now they grope through the streets as if they were blind. They are so defiled with blood that no one dares to touch their garments.“ Go away! You are unclean!” people cry to them.“ Away! Away! Don’t touch us!” When they flee and wander about, people among the nations say,“ They can stay here no longer.”

Whoever found them devoured them; their enemies said,‘ We are not guilty, for they sinned against the Lord, their verdant pasture, the Lord, the hope of their ancestors.’

“ I will forsake my house, abandon my inheritance; I will give the one I love into the hands of her enemies.My inheritance has become to me like a lion in the forest. She roars at me; therefore I hate her.
