至於我呢，我絕不停止為你們禱告、而犯罪得罪永恆主；我總要將好而對的道路指教你們。

永恆主啊，將你的道路指教我；因那窺伺我者的緣故、引領我走平坦的路徑哦。

永恆主這麼說：『你們要站在路上察看，訪問往古的路徑，哪一條是好的路，你們便在那上頭行；這樣、你們就得安然。但他們卻說：「我們不在那上頭行。」

過了很多日子、永恆主的話在第三年又傳與以利亞、說：『你去，使亞哈看見你；我將要降雨在地上了。

永恆主啊，將你的道路指示我，將你的路徑教導我。憑你的忠信來帶領我，教導我；因為只有你是拯救我、的上帝；我終日切候的乃是你。

外國人虛無的神之中有能降霖雨的麼？天能自降甘霖麼？能如此的豈不是你、永恆主我們的上帝麼？所以我們仍等候着你，因為是你行了這一切事。

霎時間、天因風雲而黑暗，就降下了大雨來。亞哈便坐車、往耶斯列去了。

永恆主啊，你所管教，你用你的律法所教訓、

以利亞是和我們同樣性質的人；他懇切禱告，求別下雨，雨就三年零六個月沒有下在地上。他又禱告，天就賜下雨水，地就產生果實來。

必有許多外國人要前來，說：『來，咱們來上永恆主的山，來登雅各之上帝的殿；好讓他將他的道路指教我們，使我們在他的路徑上行；因為教訓必出於錫安，永恆主的話必出於耶路撒冷。

永恆主啊，將你律例的路指教我哦；我要步步恪守着。

到了正午、以利亞戲弄他們、說：『大聲呼求吧；因為他是神；他或者在默想，或者曾退到一邊，或者在路上，又萬一是在睡覺呢！那就該叫醒過來呀！』他們直大聲呼求，按照法術用刀槍刻劃身體，直到血流滿身。中午過後、他們繼續發神言狂，直到獻上素祭的時候；都沒有聲音，沒有答應的，也沒有睬他們的。以利亞對眾民說：『你們湊近前來』；眾民就湊近前去。他便修理修理已經翻毁了的、永恆主的祭壇。以利亞取了十二塊石頭，照雅各子孫族派的數目：這雅各是永恆主的話曾傳與他說：「你的名要叫以色列」的那人。以利亞奉永恆主耶和華的名將這些石頭築座祭壇；在壇的四圍作了水溝，可容穀種二細亞。他又擺好了柴，把公牛切成塊子，放在柴上；又說：『盛滿了四桶水，倒在燔祭上和柴上』；又說：『倒第二次』；他們就倒第二次；又說：『倒第三次』；他們就倒第三次；水都流在祭壇的四圍了，他也使溝裏倒滿了水。在獻上素祭的時候、神言人以利亞湊近前去、說：『亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的上帝永恆主啊，求你今天使人知道你乃是以色列中的上帝，而我是你的僕人，又是奉你吩咐的話行這一切事的。永恆主啊，應允我，應允我；求你使這人民知道你永恆主乃是上帝，又知道是你使這人民的心回轉過來的。』於是永恆主的火便降下來，燒盡了燔祭、木柴、石頭、塵土，又把溝裏的水都餂燒乾了。眾民看見了，就臉伏於地，說：『永恆主才是上帝！永恆主才是上帝！』以利亞對他們說：『將巴力的神言人捉住；一個也不可讓逃脫。』眾人就把他們捉住；以利亞將他們帶下去到基順谿谷中，在那裏把他們宰殺掉。

誰是敬畏永恆主的人？永恆主就將他當選擇的路指教他。

永恆主啊，求你因那窺伺我者的緣故、憑你的義氣來引領我，使你的道路在我面前平直。

永恆主啊，將你的道路指教我怎樣憑你的忠信而行；求你使我以專一的心敬畏你的名。

我要訓誨你、指教你當走的路；我要定睛於你身上而忠告你。

永恆主是至善而正直；所以他必指教罪人走正路。

在那裏必有一條大道或道路要稱為聖路；污穢的人不得經過；那是為行路人豫備的；不拜上帝的愚人不得在那裏漫游。

求你使我於早晨飽得你的堅愛，因為我倚靠你；求你使我知道我應當走的路，因為我的心仰望着你。

便差遣他們的門徒同希律黨人來見耶穌，說：『先生，我們曉得你很真誠；你以真誠教授上帝的道路；甚麼人你都不在乎，因為你不看人的外貌。

願永恆主你的上帝指示我們所應當走的路，所應該作的事。』

『你人民因犯罪得罪了你，天便被制住而沒有雨水；你這樣懲罰他們，他們若向這聖地而禱告，稱讚你的名，離開他們的罪而歸向你，求你在天上垂聽，赦免你僕人和你人民以色列的罪，將他們當行的好道路指教他們，賜雨水在你的地、你賜給你人民為產業之地。

你偏於右、或偏於左、的時候，你總要親耳聽見，從後邊有話在說：『這就是路：你要行它！』

上帝啊，你下巨量大雨在你的產業上；它疲乏，你使它堅強過來；
