至於我，斷不停止為你們禱告，以致得罪耶和華。我必以善道正路指教你們。

耶和華啊，求你將你的道指教我，因我仇敵的緣故引導我走平坦的路。

耶和華如此說：你們當站在路上察看，訪問古道，哪是善道，便行在其間；這樣，你們心裏必得安息。他們卻說：我們不行在其間。

過了許久，到第三年，耶和華的話臨到以利亞說：「你去，使亞哈得見你；我要降雨在地上。」

耶和華啊，求你將你的道指示我，將你的路教訓我！求你以你的真理引導我，教訓我，因為你是救我的神。我終日等候你。

外邦人虛無的神中有能降雨的嗎？天能自降甘霖嗎？耶和華－我們的神啊，能如此的不是你嗎？所以，我們仍要等候你，因為這一切都是你所造的。

霎時間，天因風雲黑暗，降下大雨。亞哈就坐車往耶斯列去了。

耶和華啊，你所管教、用律法所教訓的人是有福的！

以利亞與我們是一樣性情的人，他懇切禱告，求不要下雨，雨就三年零六個月不下在地上。他又禱告，天就降下雨來，地也生出土產。

必有許多國的民前往，說：來吧，我們登耶和華的山，奔雅各神的殿。主必將他的道教訓我們；我們也要行他的路。因為訓誨必出於錫安；耶和華的言語必出於耶路撒冷。

耶和華啊，求你將你的律例指教我，我必遵守到底！

到了正午，以利亞嬉笑他們，說：「大聲求告吧！因為他是神，他或默想，或走到一邊，或行路，或睡覺，你們當叫醒他。」他們大聲求告，按着他們的規矩，用刀槍自割、自刺，直到身體流血。從午後直到獻晚祭的時候，他們狂呼亂叫，卻沒有聲音，沒有應允的，也沒有理會的。以利亞對眾民說：「你們到我這裏來。」眾民就到他那裏。他便重修已經毀壞耶和華的壇。以利亞照雅各子孫支派的數目，取了十二塊石頭（耶和華的話曾臨到雅各說：「你的名要叫以色列」），用這些石頭為耶和華的名築一座壇，在壇的四圍挖溝，可容穀種二細亞，又在壇上擺好了柴，把牛犢切成塊子放在柴上，對眾人說：「你們用四個桶盛滿水，倒在燔祭和柴上」；又說：「倒第二次。」他們就倒第二次；又說：「倒第三次。」他們就倒第三次。水流在壇的四圍，溝裏也滿了水。到了獻晚祭的時候，先知以利亞近前來，說：「亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的神，耶和華啊，求你今日使人知道你是以色列的神，也知道我是你的僕人，又是奉你的命行這一切事。耶和華啊，求你應允我，應允我！使這民知道你－耶和華是神，又知道是你叫這民的心回轉。」於是，耶和華降下火來，燒盡燔祭、木柴、石頭、塵土，又燒乾溝裏的水。眾民看見了，就俯伏在地，說：「耶和華是神！耶和華是神！」以利亞對他們說：「拿住巴力的先知，不容一人逃脫！」眾人就拿住他們。以利亞帶他們到基順河邊，在那裏殺了他們。

誰敬畏耶和華，耶和華必指示他當選擇的道路。

耶和華啊，求你因我的仇敵，憑你的公義引領我，使你的道路在我面前正直。

耶和華啊，求你將你的道指教我；我要照你的真理行；求你使我專心敬畏你的名！

我要教導你，指示你當行的路；我要定睛在你身上勸戒你。

耶和華是良善正直的，所以他必指示罪人走正路。

在那裏必有一條大道，稱為聖路。污穢人不得經過，必專為贖民行走；行路的人雖愚昧，也不致失迷。

求你使我清晨得聽你慈愛之言，因我倚靠你；求你使我知道當行的路，因我的心仰望你。

就打發他們的門徒同希律黨的人去見耶穌，說：「夫子，我們知道你是誠實人，並且誠誠實實傳神的道，甚麼人你都不徇情面，因為你不看人的外貌。

願耶和華－你的神指示我們所當走的路，所當做的事。」

「你的民因得罪你，你懲罰他們，使天閉塞不下雨，他們若向此處禱告，承認你的名，離開他們的罪，求你在天上垂聽，赦免你僕人和你民以色列的罪，將當行的善道指教他們，且降雨在你的地，就是你賜給你民為業之地。

你或向左或向右，你必聽見後邊有聲音說：「這是正路，要行在其間。」

神啊，你降下大雨；你產業以色列疲乏的時候，你使他堅固。
