如人獲罪於爾、使天閉塞、雨澤不降、至殿祈禱、呼籲爾名、緣遘患難、去厥罪愆、

如民獲罪於主、致天閉塞不雨、而在此處祈禱、認主之名、主罰之之後、悛悔罪惡、

“ When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because your people have sinned against you, and when they pray toward this place and give praise to your name and turn from their sin because you have afflicted them,

“ Suppose your people have sinned against you. And because of that, the sky is closed up and there isn’t any rain. But your people pray toward this place. They praise you by admitting they’ve sinned. And they turn away from their sin because you have made them suffer.

“ The time will come when the skies are shut up tightly and no rain falls because your people sinned against you. When they direct their prayers toward this place, renew their allegiance to you, and turn away from their sin because you punish them,

“你的民以色列若得罪你，败在仇敌面前，又归向你，承认你的名，在这殿里祈求祷告，

耶和华的怒气向你们发作，就使天闭塞不下雨，地也不出产，使你们在耶和华所赐给你们的美地上速速灭亡。

我必断绝你们因势力而有的骄傲，又要使覆你们的天如铁，载你们的地如铜。

于是迦得来见大卫，对他说：“你愿意国中有七年的饥荒呢？是在你敌人面前逃跑，被追赶三个月呢？是在你国中有三日的瘟疫呢？现在你要揣摩思想，我好回复那差我来的。”

我对你们说实话，当以利亚的时候，天闭塞了三年零六个月，遍地有大饥荒，那时，以色列中有许多寡妇，

这二人有权柄，在他们传道的日子叫天闭塞不下雨；又有权柄叫水变为血，并且能随时随意用各样的灾殃攻击世界。

所以主耶和华说：“以色列家啊，我必按你们各人所行的审判你们。你们当回头离开所犯的一切罪过。这样，罪孽必不使你们败亡。你们要将所犯的一切罪过尽行抛弃，自做一个新心和新灵。以色列家啊，你们何必死亡呢？主耶和华说：我不喜悦那死人之死，所以你们当回头而存活。”

并叫外邦人因他的怜悯荣耀神。如经上所记：“因此，我要在外邦中称赞你，歌颂你的名。”

基列寄居的提斯比人以利亚对亚哈说：“我指着所侍奉永生耶和华以色列的神起誓，这几年我若不祷告，必不降露，不下雨。”

愿你昼夜看顾这殿，就是你应许立为你名的居所；求你垂听仆人向此处祷告的话。你仆人和你民以色列向此处祈祷的时候，求你在天上你的居所垂听，垂听而赦免。

你们举手祷告，我必遮眼不看；就是你们多多地祈祷，我也不听。你们的手都满了杀人的血。你们要洗濯、自洁，从我眼前除掉你们的恶行，要止住作恶，

祭司啊，你们当腰束麻布痛哭；伺候祭坛的啊，你们要哀号；侍奉我神的啊，你们要来披上麻布过夜，因为素祭和奠祭从你们神的殿中断绝了。你们要分定禁食的日子，宣告严肃会，招聚长老和国中的一切居民到耶和华你们神的殿，向耶和华哀求。哀哉！耶和华的日子临近了。这日来到，好像毁灭从全能者来到。粮食不是在我们眼前断绝了吗？欢喜快乐不是从我们神的殿中止息了吗？谷种在土块下朽烂；仓也荒凉，廪也破坏；因为五谷枯干了。牲畜哀鸣；牛群混乱，因为无草；羊群也受了困苦。耶和华啊，我向你求告，因为火烧灭旷野的草场；火焰烧尽田野的树木。田野的走兽向你发喘；因为溪水干涸，火也烧灭旷野的草场。

这百姓还没有归向击打他们的主，也没有寻求万军之耶和华。

以色列啊，你要归向耶和华你的神；你是因自己的罪孽跌倒了。

“人子啊，若有一国犯罪干犯我，我也向他伸手折断他们的杖，就是断绝他们的粮，使饥荒临到那地，将人与牲畜从其中剪除；

你头上的天要变为铜，脚下的地要变为铁。耶和华要使那降在你地上的雨变为尘沙，从天临在你身上，直到你灭亡。

你若口里认耶稣为主，心里信神叫他从死里复活，就必得救。

耶和华必为你开天上的府库，按时降雨在你的地上。在你手里所办的一切事上赐福与你。你必借给许多国民，却不致向他们借贷。

“你的民因得罪你，你惩罚他们，使天闭塞不下雨，他们若向此处祷告，承认你的名，离开他们的罪，

耶和华论到干旱之灾的话临到耶利米：“犹大悲哀，城门衰败。众人披上黑衣坐在地上；耶路撒冷的哀声上达。他们的贵胄打发家僮打水；他们来到水池，见没有水，就拿着空器皿，蒙羞惭愧，抱头而回。耕地的也蒙羞抱头；因为无雨降在地上，地都干裂。田野的母鹿生下小鹿，就撇弃，因为无草。野驴站在净光的高处，喘气好像野狗；因为无草，眼目失明。”耶和华啊，我们的罪孽虽然作见证告我们，还求你为你名的缘故行事。我们本是多次背道，得罪了你。

万军之耶和华说：你们要将当纳的十分之一全然送入仓库，使我家有粮，以此试试我，是否为你们敞开天上的窗户，倾福与你们，甚至无处可容。

“你的民以色列若得罪你，败在仇敌面前，又回心转意承认你的名，在这殿里向你祈求祷告，

你们要在锡安吹角，分定禁食的日子，宣告严肃会。聚集众民，使会众自洁：招聚老者，聚集孩童和吃奶的；使新郎出离洞房，新妇出离内室。侍奉耶和华的祭司要在廊子和祭坛中间哭泣，说：“耶和华啊，求你顾惜你的百姓，不要使你的产业受羞辱，列邦管辖他们。为何容列国的人说：‘他们的神在哪里呢？’”
