如人與同儕有所干犯、使至此殿、發誓於壇前、

人若獲罪於人、乃使其發誓、以徵其言、遂至此殿主之祭臺前發誓、

若找不到賊，這家的主人就要到審判官那裏，聲明自己沒有伸手拿鄰舍的物件。「關於任何侵害的案件，無論是為牛、驢、羊、衣服，或任何失物，有一人說：『這是我的』，雙方就要將案件帶到審判官面前，審判官定誰有罪，誰就要加倍賠償給他的鄰舍。「人將驢、牛、羊，或別的牲畜託鄰舍看管，若牲畜死亡，受了傷，或被搶走，無人看見，雙方要在耶和華前起誓，受託人要表明自己沒有伸手拿鄰舍的東西，原主要接受誓言，受託人不必賠償。

免得我飽足了，就不認你，說：「耶和華是誰呢？」又恐怕我貧窮就偷竊，以致褻瀆我上帝的名。

「祭司要使那婦人近前來，站在耶和華面前。祭司要把聖水盛在瓦器裏，從帳幕的地上取些塵土，放在水中。祭司要帶那婦人站在耶和華面前，使她蓬頭散髮，再把紀念的素祭，就是疑忌的素祭，放在她的手掌，祭司手裏捧着致詛咒的苦水。祭司要叫婦人起誓，對她說：『若沒有人與你同寢，若你未曾背着丈夫做污穢的事，你就能免去這致詛咒的苦水。但你背着丈夫，玷污自己，跟丈夫以外的人同寢。』祭司叫婦人賭咒起誓，祭司對她說：『當耶和華使你大腿萎縮，肚腹腫脹時，願耶和華使你在你百姓中成為詛咒和咒罵；願這致詛咒的水進入你體內，使你肚腹腫脹，大腿萎縮。』婦人要說：『阿們，阿們。』

「若有人犯了罪，就是聽見了誓言，他本來可以作證，卻不把所看見、所知道的說出來，必須擔當他的罪孽。

「人若得罪鄰舍，有人強迫他，要他起誓，他來到這殿，在你的壇前起誓，求你從天上垂聽、處理，向你的僕人施行審判，定惡人有罪，照他所行的報應在他頭上；定義人為義，照他的義賞賜他。
