At that time Solomon held the feast for seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from Lebo-hamath to the Brook of Egypt.And on the eighth day they held a solemn assembly, for they had kept the dedication of the altar seven days and the feast seven days.On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their homes, joyful and glad of heart for the prosperity that the Lord had granted to David and to Solomon and to Israel his people.

“ You shall keep the Feast of Booths seven days, when you have gathered in the produce from your threshing floor and your winepress.

So Solomon held the feast at that time, and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from Lebo-hamath to the Brook of Egypt, before the Lord our God, seven days.

And they kept the Feast of Booths, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number according to the rule, as each day required,

Then everyone who survives of all the nations that have come against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Booths.And if any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, there will be no rain on them.And if the family of Egypt does not go up and present themselves, then on them there shall be no rain; there shall be the plague with which the Lord afflicts the nations that do not go up to keep the Feast of Booths.This shall be the punishment to Egypt and the punishment to all the nations that do not go up to keep the Feast of Booths.

Now the Jews’ Feast of Booths was at hand.

On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out,“ If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.

And there was very great rejoicing.And day by day, from the first day to the last day, he read from the Book of the Law of God. They kept the feast seven days, and on the eighth day there was a solemn assembly, according to the rule.

“ On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall keep a feast to the Lord seven days.And you shall offer a burnt offering, a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord, thirteen bulls from the herd, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old; they shall be without blemish;and their grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil, three tenths of an ephah for each of the thirteen bulls, two tenths for each of the two rams,and a tenth for each of the fourteen lambs;also one male goat for a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering and its drink offering.“ On the second day twelve bulls from the herd, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,with the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities;also one male goat for a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering and its grain offering, and their drink offerings.“ On the third day eleven bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,with the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities;also one male goat for a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering and its grain offering and its drink offering.“ On the fourth day ten bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,with the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities;also one male goat for a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering and its drink offering.“ On the fifth day nine bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,with the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities;also one male goat for a sin offering; besides the regular burnt offering and its grain offering and its drink offering.“ On the sixth day eight bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,with the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities;also one male goat for a sin offering; besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offerings.“ On the seventh day seven bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,with the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities;also one male goat for a sin offering; besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.“ On the eighth day you shall have a solemn assembly.
