他说：‘自从我领我民以色列出埃及以来，我未曾在以色列各支派中选择一城，建造殿宇为我名的居所，但拣选大卫治理我民以色列。’”

‘自从那日我领我百姓以色列出埃及以来，我未曾在以色列各支派中选择一城，在那里为我的名建造殿宇，但我拣选大卫治理我的百姓以色列。’

彼曰、自我導我民以色列出埃及、於以色列支派中、我未嘗簡一邑以建室、為我寄名之所、惟簡大衛、治我民以色列、

所許之言曰、自耶和華導以色列民、出埃及以來、迄於今日、未嘗於以色列支派中、遴選一邑、使人建殿、為籲名之所、惟簡大闢、治理我民。

‘ Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel to have a temple built so that my Name might be there, but I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.’

‘ I brought my people Israel out of Egypt. Ever since, I haven’t chosen a city in any tribe of Israel where a temple could be built for my Name. But I have chosen David to rule over my people Israel.’

‘ Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be there. But I chose David to be over my people Israel.’

‘ From the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have never chosen a city among any of the tribes of Israel as the place where a Temple should be built to honor my name. But I have chosen David to be king over my people Israel.’”

“ Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city to build a temple in among any of the tribes of Israel, so that my name would be there. But I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.”

‘ Since the day that I brought My people Israel from Egypt, I did not choose a city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house so that My name would be there, but I chose David to be over My people Israel.’

謂撒母耳曰、爾為掃羅而憂、伊於何底、我已棄之、不容其為以色列王、今以膏盛於角、我將遣爾至伯利恆人耶西家、我於其眾子中選其一、立之為王、

是夜主默示拿單曰、爾往諭我僕大衛曰、主如是云、建造殿宇為我居處、豈爾所可乎、或作爾欲建殿為我居乎我自導以色列人出伊及時、至於今日、未嘗居殿、恆居帳幕帷幔、凡我偕以色列人行時、以色列支派中之士師、即我所命牧我民以色列者、我何曾謂其一曰、爾何不為我造柏香木之殿乎、今當告我僕大衛曰、萬有之主如是云、昔我自羊牢中、自羊群後召爾、立為我民以色列之君、

主曾許主之名必在此殿、今求主晝夜垂顧此殿、主之僕在在或作向此殿殿原文作處祈禱、求主垂聽、

主以色列之天主、在我父之全家中、特選我永為以色列王、選猶大支派為長、在猶大支派中、選我父家為最、在我父眾子中悅我、立我為以色列眾之王、

則凡我所命爾獻者、即火焚祭、平安祭、應輸之什一、舉獻之祭、於主前許願欲獻之美祭、爾俱當攜之至主爾天主所選為其名所在之處、

我自導以色列人出伊及時、至於今日、未嘗居殿、乃由此幕往至彼幕、由此幄往至彼幄、凡我偕以色列人行時、以色列之士師、即我所命牧我民者、我何曾謂其一曰、爾何不為我造柏香木之殿乎、

因主選擇郇城、樂為駐蹕之所、

主曰、我將自我前除猶大、如我曾除以色列然、昔我選此邑耶路撒冷與此殿宇、曰、我名必在其中、今則棄之、

又特選僕人大衛、召之於羊牢中、

主爾之天主、於爾支派中特選何處、為其名所在之處、爾即當赴主居所、往彼以崇拜、

以一支派賜其子、使我僕大衛於所選歸我名之耶路撒冷邑、於我前歷世有光、光或作明燈

當初主在默示中應許虔誠人云、我施恩以助英雄、我升舉民中被選者、我尋得我僕人大衛、沐以我之聖膏、

自我導民出伊及地以來、未曾於以色列眾支派中、選一邑以建殿、使我名在彼、亦未選一人為我民以色列之君、獨選耶路撒冷使我之名在彼、又選大衛治理我民以色列云、所羅門又曰、我父大衛意欲為主以色列天主之名建殿、主諭我父大衛曰、爾意欲為我名建殿、爾之意甚善、但爾不可建殿、爾所生之子、將為我名建殿、今主之言應矣、使我繼我父大衛即位、治理以色列、循主所許者、故我為主以色列天主之名建殿、我置約匱於其中、匱內有主之約、即主與以色列人所立之約、○
