Then King Solomon summoned into his presence at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then King Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to him in Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, before King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon then summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes— the leaders of the ancestral families of the Israelites. They were to bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant to the Temple from its location in the City of David, also known as Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, with all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

于是，所罗门召集以色列的长老、各支派的领袖和以色列人的族长到耶路撒冷，要把耶和华的约柜从大卫城，就是锡安，接上来。在七月节期的时候，所有的以色列人都聚集到王那里。以色列众长老一来到，利未人就抬起约柜。祭司和利未人将约柜请上来，又把会幕和会幕一切的圣器皿都带上来。所罗门王和聚集到他那里的以色列全会众都在约柜前献牛羊为祭，多得不可胜数，无法计算。祭司将耶和华的约柜请进内殿，就是至圣所，安置在两个基路伯的翅膀底下约柜自己的地方。基路伯张开翅膀在约柜上面的地方，从上面遮住约柜和抬柜的杠。这杠很长，从内殿前的约柜可以看见杠头，从外面却看不见。这杠直到今日还在那里。约柜里没有别的，只有两块石版，就是以色列人出埃及，耶和华与他们立约的时候，摩西在何烈山所放的。

于是，大卫和以色列的长老，以及千夫长都去，欢欢喜喜地将耶和华的约柜从俄别‧以东家中接上来。

有人告诉大卫王说：“耶和华因约柜的缘故赐福给俄别‧以东的家和一切属他的。”大卫就去，欢欢喜喜地将上帝的约柜从俄别‧以东家中接上来，到大卫城里。抬耶和华约柜的人走了六步，大卫就献牛与肥畜为祭。大卫穿着细麻布以弗得，在耶和华面前极力跳舞。这样，大卫和以色列全家欢呼吹角，将耶和华的约柜接了上来。耶和华的约柜进大卫城的时候，扫罗的女儿米甲从窗户里往外观看，见大卫王在耶和华面前踊跃跳舞，心里就轻视他。众人将耶和华的约柜请进去，安放在所预备的地方，就是大卫为它搭的帐幕中。大卫在耶和华面前献燔祭和平安祭。

所罗门醒了，看哪，是个梦。他就来到耶路撒冷，站在耶和华的约柜前，献燔祭和平安祭，又为众臣仆摆设宴席。

希西家派人去见以色列和犹大众人，又写信给以法莲和玛拿西人，要他们到耶路撒冷耶和华的殿，向耶和华—以色列的上帝守逾越节，

所以，主耶和华如此说：“看哪，我在锡安放一块石头作为根基，是衡量的石头，是宝贵的房角石，稳固的根基；信靠他的人必不致惊恐。

我使我的公义临近，它已不远。我的救恩必不迟延。我要为以色列—我的荣耀在锡安施行救恩。

大卫住在堡垒里，所以那堡垒叫作大卫城。

就召了全以色列的众长老、领袖、审判官和官长来，对他们说：“我年纪已经老迈。

大卫召集以色列众人到耶路撒冷，要将耶和华的约柜接到他所预备的地方。

使人在锡安传扬耶和华的名，在耶路撒冷传扬赞美他的话，

约书亚召集以色列的众支派到示剑，他召了以色列的长老、领袖、审判官和官长来；他们都站在上帝面前。

到了七月，以色列人住在自己的城里；那时他们如同一人，聚集在耶路撒冷。

应当歌颂居于锡安的耶和华，将他所做的传扬在万民中。

然而大卫攻取了锡安的堡垒，就是大卫的城。当日，大卫说：“谁攻打耶布斯人，就要从水道上去，攻打我心里所恨恶的瘸子、盲人。”因此有人说：“盲人和瘸子不得进殿里去。”大卫住在堡垒里，给它起名叫大卫城。大卫又从米罗往内，周围建筑。

大卫与千夫长、百夫长，以及所有的领袖商议。大卫对以色列全会众说：“你们若以为好，见这事是出于耶和华—我们的上帝，我们就派人到远近各处去见仍留在以色列各地我们的弟兄，以及住在有郊野之城的祭司和利未人，使他们都到我们这里来聚集。我们要把上帝的约柜接到这里来；因为在扫罗年间，我们没有去寻求约柜。”全会众都说可以这么做，因这事在众百姓眼中都看为好。于是，大卫把以色列众人从埃及的西曷河直到哈马口都召集了来，要从基列‧耶琳将上帝的约柜接来。

以色列的领袖，各父家的家长，都前来奉献。他们是各支派的领袖，管理那些被数的人。他们把自己的供物送到耶和华面前，就是六辆篷车和十二头公牛。每两个领袖奉献一辆车，每个领袖奉献一头牛。他们把这些都带到帐幕前。

大卫又聚集以色列中所有挑选的人，共三万名。大卫起身，和跟随他的众百姓前往，要从巴拉‧犹大那里将上帝的约柜接上来；这约柜是以坐在二基路伯上万军之耶和华的名所命名的。

耶和华的约柜进大卫城的时候，扫罗的女儿米甲从窗户里往外观看，见大卫王踊跃跳舞，心里就轻视他。众人将上帝的约柜请进去，安放在大卫为它搭的帐幕中，就在上帝面前献燔祭和平安祭。

因为经上说：“看哪，我把一块石头放在锡安—一块蒙拣选、珍贵的房角石；信靠他的人必不蒙羞。”

大卫召集以色列所有的领袖，各支派的领袖、轮班服事王的官长、千夫长、百夫长、掌管王和王子一切产业牲畜的、宫廷官员、勇士，和所有大能的勇士，都到耶路撒冷来。

到了拿艮的禾场，因为牛失前蹄，乌撒就伸手扶住上帝的约柜。
