Then King Solomon summoned into his presence at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then King Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to him in Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, before King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon then summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes— the leaders of the ancestral families of the Israelites. They were to bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant to the Temple from its location in the City of David, also known as Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, all the tribal heads and the ancestral leaders of the Israelites before him at Jerusalem in order to bring the ark of the LORD’s covenant from the city of David, that is Zion.

Then Solomon convened in Jerusalem Israel’s elders, all the leaders of the Israelite tribes and families, so they could witness the transferal of the ark of the LORD’s covenant from the city of David( that is, Zion).

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, with all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

那時所羅門將以色列長老、各支派族長、以色列子孫父系家屬的首領、都召集到耶路撒冷，要把永恆主的約櫃從大衛城錫安、接上來。於是以色列眾人在七月節期前都聚集到王那裏。以色列長老來到了，利未人便將約櫃抬起來。他們將約櫃和帳棚以及會棚中一切聖的器具都運上來，是祭司和利未人把這一切運上來的。所羅門王和那些會集到他那裏的以色列全會眾都在約櫃前宰獻牛羊為祭，多到不能計算、不能數點。祭司將永恆主的約櫃抬到它的所在、就是內殿、至聖所、兩個基路伯的翅膀下面。基路伯張開它的翅膀在約櫃的所在之上，以致基路伯在上面將櫃和櫃的杠都遮掩着。那兩枝杠很長；杠頭從聖的所在、內殿前面、可以看得見，在殿外卻看不見；直到今日、兩枝杠還在那裏。約櫃裏只有兩塊版，就是以色列人出埃及以後、永恆主同他們立約的時候、摩西在何烈山所放在那裏的。除此以外、並無別物。

於是大衛和以色列的長老和千夫長都歡歡喜喜地去、從俄別以東的住宅、將永恆主的約櫃接上來。

有人告訴大衛王說：『永恆主為了上帝的櫃的緣故而賜福與俄別以東的家和一切屬他的』；大衛就去，歡歡喜喜地將上帝的櫃從俄別以東住宅接上大衛城。抬永恆主櫃的人走了六步，大衛就獻牛和肥畜為祭。大衛在永恆主面前極力跳旋轉舞；大衛是束着細麻布聖裲襠的。這樣、大衛和以色列全家就用歡呼與號角聲將永恆主的櫃接上來。永恆主的櫃進大衛城的時候、掃羅的女兒米甲從窗戶裏眺望着，看見大衛王在永恆主面前踴躍着跳旋轉舞，心裏就鄙視他。眾人將永恆主的櫃抬進去，安置在它的地方、在帳棚中間大衛所搭的。大衛便在永恆主面前獻上燔祭和平安祭。

所羅門醒來，哦，原來是個夢；他就回到耶路撒冷，站在永恆主的約櫃前，獻上燔祭，又獻平安祭，也為他的眾臣僕辦了筵席。

希西家差遣了人去見以色列和猶大眾人，並且寫了詔書給以法蓮和瑪拿西人，叫他們到耶路撒冷永恆主的殿，向永恆主以色列的上帝守逾越節。

因此主永恆主這樣說：『看哪，我在錫安放置一塊石頭、一塊片碞石、為根基、一塊寶貴的房角石，奠得很穩固：『信靠的人必不至於着急。』

我使我的義氣臨近，並不遠離；我的拯救必不遲延；我必將拯救施於錫安，將我的榮美賜給以色列。』

大衛住在營寨裏；因此人把那營寨叫作大衛城。

約書亞就把以色列眾人、他們的長老、首領、審判官、和官吏、都召了來，對他們說：『我已經老邁，上了年紀。

大衛召集了以色列眾人到耶路撒冷，要將永恆主的櫃接上來到他所給豫備的地方。

使人在錫安宣揚永恆主的名，在耶路撒冷敘說他可頌可讚的事，

約書亞將以色列眾族派聚集在示劍，把以色列的長老、跟首領、審判官，和官吏、都召了來；他們就來、站在上帝面前。

到了七月、以色列人各在自己的市鎮裏：那時眾民如同一人聚集在耶路撒冷。

要唱揚那居於錫安的永恆主，要在萬族民中宣說他的作為。

然而大衛卻攻取了錫安的營寨、就是大衛城。那一天大衛就說：『誰攻擊耶布斯人、到達水溝去擊打大衛心所恨惡的瘸子瞎子，誰就可以得到重賞。』因此有命令說：瞎眼的瘸腿的不得進聖殿。大衛住在營寨裏，把營寨叫做大衛城；大衛又從米羅向聖殿方面往裏、周圍築牆。

大衛同千夫長百夫長、所有的首領、商議。大衛對以色列全體大眾說：『你們若以為好，若以為是出於永恆主我們的上帝，那麼我們就發急令，差遣人去見我們的族弟兄、那些在以色列各地其餘之民、連同祭司和利未人、那些在有牧場之城的，叫他們集合到我們這裏來。我們就可以將我們的上帝的櫃轉運到我們這裏來；因為當掃羅在位的日子、我們都沒有在櫃前尋問過。全體大眾都說可以這樣行；這事眾民都看為對。於是大衛將以色列人眾人、從埃及的西曷河直到哈馬口、都召集了來，要將上帝的櫃從基列耶琳運來。

以色列的眾首領、就是他們父系家屬的族長、便舉行了奉獻：他們是眾支派的首領，是管理被點閱之人的：他們把自己的供物帶到永恆主面前：就是六輛篷子車、和十二隻公牛，每兩個首領獻一輛車，每一個首領獻一隻牛；他們把這些物件都奉到帳幕前。

大衛又聚集了以色列中所有的精兵三萬人。大衛就起身，他和跟隨的眾人、以及一些猶大領袖、一同到基列耶琳，要從那裏將上帝的櫃運上來：這櫃是以乘坐兩個基路伯的萬軍永恆主耶和華之名而起名的。

永恆主的約櫃進了大衛城的時候、掃羅的女兒米甲從窗戶裏眺望着，看見大衛王踴躍嬉戲着，心裏就鄙視他。眾人將上帝的櫃抬進去，把它安置在大衛所搭的帳棚中間。他們便在上帝面前獻燔祭和平安祭。

因為經上有明文說：『你看，我把一塊蒙揀選而寶貴的房角石放在錫安；信靠他的人決不至於失望。』

大衛召集了以色列眾首領、各族派首領、伺候王的班長、千夫長、百夫長、王和王子們一切活財物和牲畜的管理主任、同太監們勇士們、以及一切有才德的人、都到耶路撒冷來。

他們到了拿艮的禾場，因牛有放下之勢，烏撒就伸手把上帝的櫃扶住。
