Then King Solomon summoned into his presence at Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelite families, to bring up the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Zion, the City of David.

Then King Solomon sent for the elders of Israel. He told them to come to him in Jerusalem. They included all the leaders of the tribes. They also included the chiefs of the families of Israel. Solomon wanted them to bring up the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Zion. Zion was the City of David.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ houses of the people of Israel, before King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.

Solomon then summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes— the leaders of the ancestral families of the Israelites. They were to bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant to the Temple from its location in the City of David, also known as Zion.

At that time Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, all the tribal heads and the ancestral leaders of the Israelites before him at Jerusalem in order to bring the ark of the LORD’s covenant from the city of David, that is Zion.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ households of the sons of Israel, to King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the city of David, that is, Zion.

Then Solomon convened in Jerusalem Israel’s elders, all the leaders of the Israelite tribes and families, so they could witness the transferal of the ark of the LORD’s covenant from the city of David( that is, Zion).

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, with all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers’ households of the children of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of David’s city, which is Zion.

所羅門集以色列諸長老、諸支派牧伯、及以色列諸族長、皆至耶路撒冷、欲自大衛之城、即郇城、舁主之約匱而上、於是以色列眾在七月節期、咸集王所、以色列諸長老既至、利未人乃舁匱、祭司與利未人將匱及會幕、與幕中一切聖器、皆舁之上、所羅門王與集於其所之以色列會眾、同立匱前、獻牛羊為祭、其數甚多不勝核矣、祭司舁主之約匱、入於其所、即內殿至聖所、二基路伯翼下、二基路伯張翼於匱所之上、覆匱與其杠、其杠長、出匱外、在內殿前得見其末、惟殿外不得見之、匱在彼直至今日、以色列人出伊及後、主在何烈山與之立約時、摩西以立約之二石板置於匱、除此石板外、匱中無他物、

大衛與以色列長老、及千夫長、皆往俄別以東家、歡樂欣喜、請主之約匱而上、

或告大衛王曰、主因天主之匱、賜福於俄別以東家及凡所有、大衛遂往、由俄別以東家、歡然請天主之匱、至大衛之城、舁主匱之人行六步、大衛宰牛與肥犢獻祭、大衛衣細麻以弗得、極力舞蹈於主前、大衛及以色列族眾、歡呼吹角、請主之匱上、主之匱入大衛之城時、掃羅女米甲自窗觀望、見大衛踴躍舞蹈於主前、中心藐視之、眾請主之匱入、置於其所、在大衛所張之幕、大衛於主前獻火焚祭及平安祭、

所羅門寤、乃知為夢、遂至耶路撒冷、立於主之約匱前、獻火焚祭與平安祭、又為臣僕設宴、○

希西家遣人召以色列及猶大人眾、又致書以法蓮人、瑪拿西人、欲其至耶路撒冷、詣主之殿、於主以色列之天主前守逾越節、

故主天主如是云、我將以一石置於郇為基、乃已試之石、寶貴之屋隅石、堪為鞏固之基、凡信之者必不急切、

我之仁義將臨、已離不遠、我之救恩將施、不復遲延、我必施救於郇、必彰我榮於以色列、

大衛居於保障、故眾稱之曰大衛之城、

約書亞召以色列眾、與其諸長老、牧伯、士師、有司、謂之曰、我壽高年邁、

大衛招集以色列眾至耶路撒冷、欲請主之匱、至為其所備之所、

使之在郇城頌揚主名、在耶路撒冷讚美主德、

約書亞集以色列諸支派於示劍、召以色列諸長老、牧伯、士師、有司、皆至、立於天主前、

七月將至、以色列人已居故邑、民乃同心如一人、集於耶路撒冷、

須歌頌居郇之主、將主所行者傳揚列國、

然大衛攻取郇之保障、郇之保障即大衛之城、當日大衛曰、凡能入城至引水溝、擊耶布斯人、與我心所惡之跛者瞽者、則必得賞、從此有諺語云、瞽者、跛者、不得入室、大衛居於保障、名之曰大衛之城、自米羅以內環建墻垣、

大衛與諸千夫長、百夫長、及一切牧伯會議、謂以色列會眾曰、如爾以為善、且以為出乎主我之天主、則我儕遣人往以色列遍地、見所有未至之同族、又見祭司及利未人、即居於其邑與其郊者、使咸集於此、當請我天主之匱至於我所、蓋掃羅之時、我儕不在匱前、詢於天主、會眾曰、可知是以行、蓋民眾咸以此言為然、於是大衛招集以色列人、自伊及之西曷、至哈末道、欲自基列耶琳、將天主之匱請之來、

當時以色列諸牧伯、即以色列宗族諸族長、乃輔助核數以色列人之各支派牧伯、俱獻禮物、以其禮物奉至主前、即有蓋之車六乘、牛十有二、二牧伯同獻一車、每牧伯各獻一牛、牽至幕前、

大衛又集軍士三萬、在以色列中一切所擇者、大衛起、率從之之眾、至猶大之巴拉、見歷代上十三章六節欲自彼將天主之匱請之來、民在匱前呼籲居匱上二基路伯間萬有之主之名、或作此匱乃以居基路伯間萬有之主之名名者

主之約匱、入大衛之城時、掃羅女米甲自窗而窺、見大衛王踴躍舞蹈、中心藐視之、眾舁天主之匱、置於大衛為匱所張之幕中、獻火焚祭與平安祭於天主前、

如經載云、我以所選所寶之屋隅要石、置於郇城、凡信之者、不致羞愧、

大衛招集以色列諸牧伯、各支派之族長、服事王之班長、千夫長、百夫長、掌王之產業牲畜、及王子之產業牲畜者、宦官、勇士、壯士、俱至耶路撒冷、

至拿艮禾場、牽車之牛脫軛、或作牛驚而奔烏撒以手扶天主之匱、
