主之民眾多、孰能判斷其間乎、求主以智慧賜僕、能辨是非、為民折中、

So give me a heart that understands. Then I can rule over your people. I can tell the difference between what is right and what is wrong. Who can possibly rule over this great nation of yours?”

Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?”

Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?”

So give your servant a receptive heart to judge your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of yours?”

Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”

So give Your servant an obedient heart to judge Your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”

So give your servant a discerning mind so he can make judicial decisions for your people and distinguish right from wrong. Otherwise no one is able to make judicial decisions for this great nation of yours.”

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

“ And now your servant says,‘ May the word of my lord the king secure my inheritance, for my lord the king is like an angel of God in discerning good and evil. May the Lord your God be with you.’”

indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding,and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.Then you will understand what is right and just and fair— every good path.

By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

Endow the king with your justice, O God, the royal son with your righteousness.May he judge your people in righteousness, your afflicted ones with justice.

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.

How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!

May the Lord give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.

Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.

Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?”

Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart.

Your statutes are always righteous; give me understanding that I may live.

Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Moses said to the Lord,“ Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”The Lord said to him,“ Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord?Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”But Moses said,“ Pardon your servant, Lord. Please send someone else.”

Ears that hear and eyes that see— the Lord has made them both.

The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception.

Now there lived in that city a man poor but wise, and he saved the city by his wisdom. But nobody remembered that poor man.So I said,“ Wisdom is better than strength.” But the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.

“ Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said,“ I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”

Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding,for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed.

Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

But Moses said to God,“ Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”And God said,“ I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”

Wisdom, like an inheritance, is a good thing and benefits those who see the sun.

The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments,

But John tried to deter him, saying,“ I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”

When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer justice.

“ I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task?

And give my son Solomon the wholehearted devotion to keep your commands, statutes and decrees and to do everything to build the palatial structure for which I have provided.”

so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

Wisdom makes one wise person more powerful than ten rulers in a city.
