That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said,“ What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”

At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said,“ Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

The Lord appeared to Solomon at Gibeon. He spoke to him in a dream during the night. God said,“ Ask for anything you want me to give you.”

Then the Lord appeared to Solomon a second time, as he had done before at Gibeon.

That night God appeared to Solomon and said,“ What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”Solomon replied to God,“ You showed great and faithful love to David, my father, and now you have made me king in his place.O Lord God, please continue to keep your promise to David my father, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth!Give me the wisdom and knowledge to lead them properly, for who could possibly govern this great people of yours?”God said to Solomon,“ Because your greatest desire is to help your people, and you did not ask for wealth, riches, fame, or even the death of your enemies or a long life, but rather you asked for wisdom and knowledge to properly govern my people—I will certainly give you the wisdom and knowledge you requested. But I will also give you wealth, riches, and fame such as no other king has had before you or will ever have in the future!”

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.

You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!

The Lord was very angry with Solomon, for his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice.

And the Lord said to them,“ Now listen to what I say:“ If there were prophets among you, I, the Lord, would reveal myself in visions. I would speak to them in dreams.

After the wise men were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream.“ Get up! Flee to Egypt with the child and his mother,” the angel said.“ Stay there until I tell you to return, because Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

“ What is your request?” he asked.

Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant,and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else.For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”Then they reached Jericho, and as Jesus and his disciples left town, a large crowd followed him. A blind beggar named Bartimaeus( son of Timaeus) was sitting beside the road.When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout,“ Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”“ Be quiet!” many of the people yelled at him. But he only shouted louder,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”When Jesus heard him, he stopped and said,“ Tell him to come here.” So they called the blind man.“ Cheer up,” they said.“ Come on, he’s calling you!”Bartimaeus threw aside his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus.“ What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked.“ My Rabbi,” the blind man said,“ I want to see!”

As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream.“ Joseph, son of David,” the angel said,“ do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.

When Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt.

As he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from the earth up to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down the stairway.At the top of the stairway stood the Lord, and he said,“ I am the Lord, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I am giving it to you and your descendants.

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.

“ Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

For God speaks again and again, though people do not recognize it.He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds.

I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
