At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said,“ Ask! What shall I give you?”

At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said,“ Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”

The Lord appeared to Solomon at Gibeon. He spoke to him in a dream during the night. God said,“ Ask for anything you want me to give you.”

At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said,“ Ask what I shall give you.”

That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said,“ What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”

that the Lord appeared to Solomon the second time, as He had appeared to him at Gibeon.

On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him,“ Ask! What shall I give you?”And Solomon said to God:“ You have shown great mercy to David my father, and have made me king in his place.Now, O Lord God, let Your promise to David my father be established, for You have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”Then God said to Solomon:“ Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life— but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king—wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like.”

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

So the Lord became angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned from the Lord God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,

Then He said,“ Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying,“ Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”

And He said to them,“ What do you want Me to do for you?”

But Jesus said to them,“ You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”They said to Him,“ We are able.” So Jesus said to them,“ You will indeed drink the cup that I drink, and with the baptism I am baptized with you will be baptized;but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared.”And when the ten heard it, they began to be greatly displeased with James and John.But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them,“ You know that those who are considered rulers over the Gentiles Lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all.For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say,“ Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more,“ Son of David, have mercy on me!”So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him,“ Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.”And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.So Jesus answered and said to him,“ What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him,“ Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.”

But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,“ Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

Now when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.And behold, the Lord stood above it and said:“ I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.

You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it.In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falls upon men, While slumbering on their beds,

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
