For the tabernacle of the LORD, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering,[ were] at that season in the high place at Gibeon.

And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

And Lebanon[ is] not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

Wherewith shall I come before the LORD,[ and] bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams,[ or] with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn[ for] my transgression, the fruit of my body[ for] the sin of my soul?

That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.

For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.

That they feared greatly, because Gibeon[ was] a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it[ was] greater than Ai, and all the men thereof[ were] mighty.

And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai,

And the number of the burnt offerings, which the congregation brought, was threescore and ten bullocks, an hundred rams,[ and] two hundred lambs: all these[ were] for a burnt offering to the LORD.And the consecrated things[ were] six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.But the priests were too few, so that they could not flay all the burnt offerings: wherefore their brethren the Levites did help them, till the work was ended, and until the[ other] priests had sanctified themselves: for the Levites[ were] more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.And also the burnt offerings[ were] in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings, and the drink offerings for[ every] burnt offering. So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.

And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.
