其人本欲探其語意、即速就其言、曰、王之弟便哈達尚存、曰、往哉、請之來、便哈達遂出、見王、王使之登車、便哈達謂王曰、昔我父所奪王父之城邑、今我必反之、王可在大瑪色立街市、如我父曾在撒瑪利亞立街市然、亞哈曰、我循此約、必使王歸、於是與之立約而使之歸、有先知弟子奉主命謂同伴曰、爾擊我、其人不肯擊、先知弟子謂之曰、因爾不聽主命、爾離我時、必為獅所噬斃、彼離之去、果遇獅、為獅所噬斃、又遇一人曰、爾可擊我、遂擊而傷之、先知遂往、以巾掩面、立於道旁、以俟王過、王過時、呼王曰、僕在陣時、有人攜一人至、謂我曰、爾守此人、如失之、爾必償其命、原文作爾命必代其命或罰爾銀一他連得、約銀一千二百三十兩僕正在匆忙之際、不覺其人去矣、以色列王謂之曰、爾既應允、必循所言而行、彼速除巾於面、以色列王乃識其為先知之一、先知謂王曰、主如是云、我定為必滅者、或作我所擒獲者爾反釋之去、故必以爾命代其命、以爾民代其民、

且使眾於門外、自老到幼、目矇不明、索門不得、

無論大小、皆死於此地、無人葬埋、人不為其哀哭、不為其割身、不為其薙髮、

正午之時出城、便哈達與助之之三十二王、飲酒於幕中已醉、
