Micaiah said,“ If you return at all in peace, Yahweh has not spoken by me.” He said,“ Listen, all you people!”

Micaiah declared,“ If you ever return safely, the Lord has not spoken through me.” Then he added,“ Mark my words, all you people!”

Micaiah announced,“ Do you really think you will return safely? If you do, the Lord hasn’t spoken through me.” He continued,“ All of you people, remember what I’ve said!”

And Micaiah said,“ If you return in peace, the Lord has not spoken by me.” And he said,“ Hear, all you peoples!”

But Micaiah replied,“ If you return safely, it will mean that the Lord has not spoken through me!” Then he added to those standing around,“ Everyone mark my words!”

But Micaiah said,“ If you ever return safely, the LORD has not spoken through me.” Then he said,“ Listen, all you people!”

But Micaiah said,“ If you actually return safely, the Lord has not spoken by me.” And he said,“ Listen, all you people!”

But Micaiah said,“ If you ever return in peace, the Lord has not spoken by me.” And he said,“ Take heed, all you people!”

And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, Jehovah hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hear, ye peoples, all of you.

But Micaiah said,“ If you ever return safely, the Lord has not spoken through me.” Then he said,“ Listen, all you people!”

And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you.

Micaiah said,“ If you really do safely return, then the LORD has not spoken through me.” Then he added,“ Take note, all you people.”

Hear, you peoples, all of you. Listen, O earth, and all that is therein: and let the Lord Yahweh be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

If these men die the common death of all men, or if they experience what all men experience, then Yahweh hasn’t sent me.

Therefore David himself calls him Lord, so how can he be his son?” The common people heard him gladly.

and said,“ You son of the devil, full of all deceit and all cunning, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?Now, behold, the hand of the Lord is on you, and you will be blind, not seeing the sun for a season!” Immediately a mist and darkness fell on him. He went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

Elijah answered to the captain of fifty,“ If I am a man of God, then let fire come down from the sky, and consume you and your fifty!” Then fire came down from the sky, and consumed him and his fifty.

He called all the multitude to himself, and said to them,“ Hear me, all of you, and understand.There is nothing from outside of the man, that going into him can defile him; but the things which proceed out of the man are those that defile the man.

Elijah came near to all the people, and said,“ How long will you waver between the two sides? If Yahweh is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” The people didn’t say a word.Then Elijah said to the people,“ I, even I only, am left as a prophet of Yahweh; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred fifty men.Let them therefore give us two bulls; and let them choose one bull for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, and put no fire under; and I will dress the other bull, and lay it on the wood, and put no fire under it.You call on the name of your god, and I will call on Yahweh’s name. The God who answers by fire, let him be God.” All the people answered,“ What you say is good.”

The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, of evil, and of pestilence.The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet happens, then the prophet will be known, that Yahweh has truly sent him.”

Elijah answered them,“ If I am a man of God, then let fire come down from the sky, and consume you and your fifty!” Then God’s fire came down from the sky, and consumed him and his fifty.

Micaiah said,“ If you return at all in peace, Yahweh has not spoken by me.” He said,“ Listen, you people, all of you!”

who confirms the word of his servant, and performs the counsel of his messengers; who says of Jerusalem,‘ She will be inhabited;’ and of the cities of Judah,‘ They will be built,’ and‘ I will raise up its waste places;’

At the time of the evening offering, Elijah the prophet came near, and said,“ Yahweh, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word.Hear me, Yahweh, hear me, that this people may know that you, Yahweh, are God, and that you have turned their heart back again.”

Hear this word that Yahweh has spoken against you, children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Egypt, saying:

But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.”You may say in your heart,“ How shall we know the word which Yahweh has not spoken?”When a prophet speaks in Yahweh’s name, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him.
