and say,‘ This is what the king says: Put this fellow in prison and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely.’”

You have fed them with the bread of tears, And given them tears to drink in great measure.

For I have eaten ashes like bread, And mingled my drink with weeping,

You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it, that is, the bread of affliction( for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), that you may remember the day in which you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.

They silenced my life in the pit And threw stones at me.The waters flowed over my head; I said,“ I am cut off!”I called on Your name, O Lord, From the lowest pit.

“ The Lord has made you priest instead of Jehoiada the priest, so that there should be officers in the house of the Lord over every man who is demented and considers himself a prophet, that you should put him in prison and in the stocks.

And he went and beheaded him in prison,brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the girl; and the girl gave it to her mother.

also added this, above all, that he shut John up in prison.

And though the Lord gives you The bread of adversity and the water of affliction, Yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, But your eyes shall see your teachers.

Then Pashhur struck Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the Lord.

Therefore the princes were angry with Jeremiah, and they struck him and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe. For they had made that the prison.

and laid their hands on the apostles and put them in the common prison.

Therefore he sent for him more often and conversed with him.But after two years Porcius Festus succeeded Felix; and Felix, wanting to do the Jews a favor, left Paul bound.
