即或不然，王啊，你当知道我们决不侍奉你的神，也不敬拜你所立的金像。”当时，尼布甲尼撒怒气填胸，向沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌变了脸色，吩咐人把窑烧热，比寻常更加七倍；又吩咐他军中的几个壮士，将沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌捆起来，扔在烈火的窑中。这三人穿着裤子、内袍、外衣，和别的衣服，被捆起来扔在烈火的窑中。因为王命紧急，窑又甚热，那抬沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌的人都被火焰烧死。沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌这三个人都被捆着落在烈火的窑中。那时，尼布甲尼撒王惊奇，急忙起来，对谋士说：“我们捆起来扔在火里的不是三个人吗？”他们回答王说：“王啊，是。”王说：“看哪，我见有四个人，并没有捆绑，在火中游行，也没有受伤；那第四个的相貌好像神子。”

“你们施行审判，不可行不义；不可偏护穷人，也不可重看有势力的人，只要按着公义审判你的邻舍。

众民同心谋害撒迦利亚，就照王的吩咐，在耶和华殿的院内用石头打死他。

以法莲因乐从人的命令，就受欺压，被审判压碎。

因为你守暗利的恶规，行亚哈家一切所行的，顺从他们的计谋；因此，我必使你荒凉，使你的居民令人嗤笑，你们也必担当我民的羞辱。”

王就吩咐左右的侍卫说：“你们去杀耶和华的祭司；因为他们帮助大卫，又知道大卫逃跑，竟没有告诉我。”扫罗的臣子却不肯伸手杀耶和华的祭司。

“不可随伙布散谣言；不可与恶人连手妄作见证。不可随众行恶；不可在争讼的事上随众偏行，作见证屈枉正直；

耶户又给他们写信说：“你们若归顺我，听从我的话，明日这时候，要将你们主人众子的首级带到耶斯列来见我。”那时王的儿子七十人都住在教养他们那城中的尊贵人家里。信一到，他们就把王的七十个儿子杀了，将首级装在筐里，送到在耶斯列的耶户那里。

彼得、约翰说：“听从你们，不听从神，这在神面前合理不合理，你们自己酌量吧！

但是收生婆敬畏神，不照埃及王的吩咐行，竟存留男孩的性命。

博士因为在梦中被主指示不要回去见希律，就从别的路回本地去了。
