有一個神人走近前來見以色列王說：『永恆主這麼說：「亞蘭人既說：『永恆主是山神，不是山谷的神』，那麼我就要將這一大隊蜂擁軍兵都交在你手裏，你們便知道我乃是永恆主。」』

有上帝僕進見以色列王曰、耶和華云、亞蘭人謂耶和華乃山嶽之神、非平原之神、故我必以此羣眾付於爾手、爾則知我乃耶和華、

上帝之僕至、告以色列王曰、耶和華云、亞蘭人謂耶和華乃山嶽之上帝、非平原之上帝、故我必以此實繁有徒、付於爾手、使爾知我乃耶和華。

有神人進前、告以色列王曰、主如是云、亞蘭人言我乃山岳之神、非平原之神、故我必以此大軍旅付於爾手、使爾知我乃主、

The man of God came up and told the king of Israel,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Because the Arameans think the Lord is a god of the hills and not a god of the valleys, I will deliver this vast army into your hands, and you will know that I am the Lord.’”

The man of God came up to the king of Israel again. He told him,“ The Lord says,‘ The men of Aram think the Lord is a god of the hills. They do not think he is a god of the valleys. So I, the Lord, will hand their huge army over to you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’ ”

And a man of God came near and said to the king of Israel,“ Thus says the Lord,‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ The Lord is a god of the hills but he is not a god of the valleys,” therefore I will give all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”

Then the man of God went to the king of Israel and said,“ This is what the Lord says: The Arameans have said,‘ The Lord is a god of the hills and not of the plains.’ So I will defeat this vast army for you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

Then the man of God approached and said to the king of Israel,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Because the Arameans have said,“ The LORD is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over all this whole huge army to you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

Then a man of God approached and spoke to the king of Israel, and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Since the Arameans have said,“ The Lord is a god of mountains, but He is not a god of valleys,” therefore I will hand over to you all this great multitude, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’ ”

Then a man of God came and spoke to the king of Israel, and said,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ The Lord is God of the hills, but He is not God of the valleys,” therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”

And a man of God came near and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, Because the Syrians have said, Jehovah is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys; therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thy hand, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

Then the man of God approached and said to the king of Israel,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Because the Arameans have said: Yahweh is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys, I will hand over all this great army to you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD[ is] God of the hills, but he[ is] not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I[ am] the LORD.

The prophet visited the king of Israel and said,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Because the Syrians said,“ The LORD is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over to you this entire huge army. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

A man of God came near and spoke to the king of Israel, and said,“ Yahweh says,‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ Yahweh is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys;” therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am Yahweh.’”

看哪，一個先知靠近以色列王亞哈，說：「耶和華如此說：『這一大羣人你看見了嗎？看哪，今日我必把他們交在你手裏，你就知道我是耶和華。』」

婦人對以利亞說：「神人哪，我跟你有甚麼關係，你竟到我這裏來，使上帝記起我的罪，以致我的兒子死了呢？」

你們就知道我是耶和華；因為你們不遵行我的律例，也不順從我的典章，卻隨從你們四圍列國的規條。」

我必伸手攻擊他們，使他們的地荒廢，從第伯拉他的曠野起，一切的住處都荒涼。他們就知道我是耶和華。」

主啊，求求你，以色列人既在仇敵面前轉身逃跑，我還有甚麼可說的呢？迦南人和這地所有的居民聽見了就必圍困我們，把我們的名從地上除去。那時，你為你至大的名要怎樣做呢？」

我伸手攻擊埃及，把以色列人從他們中間領出來的時候，埃及人就知道我是耶和華。」

但我顧惜我的聖名，就是以色列家在所到的列國中褻瀆的。「所以，你要對以色列家說，主耶和華如此說：以色列家啊，我做這事不是為你們，而是為了我的聖名，就是你們在所到的列國中褻瀆的。我要使我至大的名顯為聖；這名在列國中已遭褻瀆，是你們在他們中間褻瀆的。我在他們眼前，在你們身上顯為聖的時候，他們就知道我是耶和華。這是主耶和華說的。

你們要知道，我這樣做不是為你們。以色列家啊，你們當為自己的行為抱愧蒙羞。這是主耶和華說的。

那先知靠近以色列王，對他說：「去吧，你當自強，看清楚，也要知道你所要做的事，因為再過一年，亞蘭王會上來攻擊你。」亞蘭王的臣僕對他說：「他們的神是山神，所以他們勝過我們。但在平原與他們打仗，我們一定勝過他們。

我卻要留下他們當中幾個人得免刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫，使他們在所到的列國述說自己所做一切可憎的事；他們就知道我是耶和華。」

在他有能力和智慧，走迷的和使人迷路的都屬他。他把謀士剝衣擄去，使審判官變為愚妄。他解除君王的權勢，用帶子捆住他們的腰。他把祭司剝衣擄去，使有權能的人傾覆。

那一日，我必把我百姓所住的歌珊地分別出來，使那裏沒有成羣的蒼蠅，好叫你知道我－耶和華是在全地之中。

因你向我發烈怒，你的狂傲上達我耳中，我要用鈎子鈎住你的鼻子，將嚼環放在你口裏，使你從原路轉回去。』「我賜給你的預兆：你們今年要吃野生的，明年也要吃自長的；後年，你們就要耕種收割，栽葡萄園，吃其中的果子。猶大家所逃脫剩餘的，仍要往下扎根，向上結果。必有剩餘的民從耶路撒冷而出；有逃脫的人從錫安山而來。萬軍之耶和華的熱心必成就這事。「所以耶和華論亞述王如此說：他必不得來到這城，也不在這裏射箭，不得拿盾牌到城前，也不能建土堆攻城。他從哪條路來，必從那條路回去，必不得來到這城。這是耶和華說的。因我為自己的緣故，又為我僕人大衛的緣故，必保護拯救這城。」耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中殺了十八萬五千人。清早有人起來，看哪，都是死屍。亞述王西拿基立就拔營回去，住在尼尼微。

我要以你們為我的百姓，我也要作你們的上帝。我除去埃及人加給你們的勞役，你們就知道我是耶和華你們的上帝。

義人見仇敵遭報就歡喜，他要在惡人的血中洗腳。因此，人必說：「義人誠然有善報，在地上果然有施行審判的上帝！」

耶和華啊，雖然我們的罪孽控告我們，求你為你名的緣故行動吧！我們本是多次背道，得罪了你。

惟恐仇敵挑釁，他們的敵人誤解，說，我們的手得勝了，這一切並非耶和華做的。』

為何讓列國說「他們的上帝在哪裏」呢？求你讓列國知道，你在我們眼前伸你僕人流血的冤。

你們沒有吃餅，也沒有喝清酒烈酒，好讓你們知道『我－耶和華是你們的上帝』。

我這麼做是為了我名的緣故，免得我的名在他們所居住之列國眼中被褻瀆；我曾在這些列國眼前向他們顯現，領他們出了埃及地。

那時，耶和華的靈在會眾中臨到利未人亞薩的後裔雅哈悉，他是瑪探雅的玄孫，耶利的曾孫，比拿雅的孫子，撒迦利雅的兒子。他說：「猶大眾人、耶路撒冷的居民和約沙法王啊，你們要留心聽，耶和華對你們如此說：『不要因這大軍恐懼驚惶，因為勝敗不在乎你們，而是在乎上帝。明日你們要下去迎敵；看哪，他們從洗斯坡上來，你們必在耶魯伊勒曠野前的谷口遇見他們。猶大和耶路撒冷人哪，這次你們不要爭戰，要擺陣站着，看耶和華為你們施行拯救。不要恐懼，也不要驚惶。明日當出去迎敵，因為耶和華與你們同在。』」約沙法屈身，臉伏於地，猶大眾人和耶路撒冷的居民也俯伏在耶和華面前，敬拜耶和華。哥轄子孫和可拉子孫的利未人都起來，用極大的聲音讚美耶和華－以色列的上帝。清晨，眾人早起往提哥亞的曠野去。出去的時候，約沙法站着說：「猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，要聽我說：信靠耶和華－你們的上帝就必站立得穩；信賴他的先知就必亨通。」

「我要在我的子民以色列中彰顯我的聖名，不容我的聖名再被褻瀆，列國就知道我－耶和華是以色列中的聖者。

我這麼做是為了我名的緣故，免得我的名在列國眼中被褻瀆，因為在這些列國眼前我領了他們出來。

看哪，有一個神人遵照耶和華的話從猶大來到伯特利。耶羅波安正站在壇旁燒香；
