以拉的一半战车由部下心利掌管。一天，心利趁以拉在得撒宫廷总管亚杂家中喝醉时，

谁有灾祸？谁有忧伤？谁有争吵？谁有怨言？谁无故受伤？谁两眼发红？就是那些沉迷醉乡，品尝醇和之酒的人！虽然鲜红的酒在杯中闪烁，喝下去痛快，但不要盯着它。它终必像蛇一样伤你，像毒蛇一样咬你。

倘若有人来攻打你，那必不是我的旨意。攻打你的必然失败。

沉溺酒色，丧失心志。

一国之君若年幼无知，他的臣宰从早到晚只顾宴乐，那国就有祸了！一国之君若英明尊贵，他的臣宰为了强身健体而节制饮食，不酗酒宴乐，那国就有福了！

耶和华借哈拿尼的儿子耶户先知谴责巴沙和他全家，是因为他像耶罗波安家一样做耶和华视为恶的事，惹耶和华发怒，也因为他杀了耶罗波安全家。
