Now a prophet visited King Ahab of Israel and said,“ This is what the LORD says,‘ Do you see this huge army? Look, I am going to hand it over to you this very day. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

有先知進見以色列王亞哈曰、耶和華云、此羣眾、爾見之乎、今日我必付於爾手、爾則知我乃耶和華、

Meanwhile a prophet came to Ahab king of Israel and announced,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Do you see this vast army? I will give it into your hand today, and then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

During that time a prophet came to Ahab, the king of Israel. He announced,“ The Lord says,‘ Do you see this huge army? I will hand it over to you today. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’ ”

And behold, a prophet came near to Ahab king of Israel and said,“ Thus says the Lord, Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will give it into your hand this day, and you shall know that I am the Lord.”

Then a certain prophet came to see King Ahab of Israel and told him,“ This is what the Lord says: Do you see all these enemy forces? Today I will hand them all over to you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

A prophet approached King Ahab of Israel and said,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Do you see this whole huge army? Watch, I am handing it over to you today so that you may know that I am the LORD.’”

Now behold, a prophet approached Ahab king of Israel, and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I am going to hand them over to you today, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’ ”

Suddenly a prophet approached Ahab king of Israel, saying,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will deliver it into your hand today, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”

And, behold, a prophet came near unto Ahab king of Israel, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thy hand this day; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah.

A prophet came to Ahab king of Israel and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Do you see this entire great army? Watch, I am handing it over to you today so that you may know that I am Yahweh.’”

And, behold, there came a prophet unto Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thine hand this day; and thou shalt know that I[ am] the LORD.

Behold, a prophet came near to Ahab king of Israel, and said,“ Yahweh says,‘ Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will deliver it into your hand today. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.’”

The prophet visited the king of Israel and said,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Because the Syrians said,“ The LORD is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over to you this entire huge army. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

During the reign of Ahaz son of Jotham, son of Uzziah, king of Judah, King Rezin of Syria and King Pekah son of Remaliah of Israel marched up to Jerusalem to do battle, but they were unable to prevail against it.It was reported to the family of David,“ Syria has allied with Ephraim.” They and their people were emotionally shaken, just as the trees of the forest shake before the wind.So the LORD told Isaiah,“ Go out with your son Shear-jashub and meet Ahaz at the end of the conduit of the upper pool which is located on the road to the field where they wash and dry cloth.Tell him,‘ Make sure you stay calm! Don’t be afraid! Don’t be intimidated by these two stubs of smoking logs, or by the raging anger of Rezin, Syria, and the son of Remaliah.Syria has plotted with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah to bring about your demise.They say,“ Let’s attack Judah, terrorize it, and conquer it. Then we’ll set up the son of Tabeel as its king.”For this reason the sovereign master, the LORD, says:“ It will not take place; it will not happen.For Syria’s leader is Damascus, and the leader of Damascus is Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim will no longer exist as a nation.Ephraim’s leader is Samaria, and Samaria’s leader is the son of Remaliah. If your faith does not remain firm, then you will not remain secure.”

Now, O LORD our God, rescue us from his power, so all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone are the LORD.”

And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I have gained my honor because of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

I acted for the sake of my reputation, so that I would not be profaned before the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.

You will be convinced that I the LORD am your God, dwelling on Zion, my holy mountain. Jerusalem will be holy– conquering armies will no longer pass through it.

“ I have heard the murmurings of the Israelites. Tell them,‘ During the evening you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be satisfied with bread, so that you may know that I am the LORD your God.’”

The slain will fall among you and then you will know that I am the LORD.

When it was time for the evening offering, Elijah the prophet approached the altar and prayed:“ O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, prove today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command.Answer me, O LORD, answer me, so these people will know that you, O LORD, are the true God and that you are winning back their allegiance.”

But the LORD had mercy on them and felt pity for them. He extended his favor to them because of the promise he had made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He has been unwilling to destroy them or remove them from his presence to this very day.

Now the king of Syria was at war with Israel. He consulted his advisers, who said,“ Invade at such and such a place.”But the prophet sent this message to the king of Israel,“ Make sure you don’t pass through this place because Syria is invading there.”So the king of Israel sent a message to the place the prophet had pointed out, warning it to be on its guard. This happened on several occasions.This made the king of Syria upset. So he summoned his advisers and said to them,“ One of us must be helping the king of Israel.”One of his advisers said,“ No, my master, O king. The prophet Elisha who lives in Israel keeps telling the king of Israel the things you say in your bedroom.”

Elisha replied,“ Hear the word of the LORD! This is what the LORD says,‘ About this time tomorrow a seah of finely milled flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria.’”

Then they will know that you alone are the LORD, the sovereign king over all the earth.
