王又对示每说：“你自己知道你心里的一切恶事，就是你向我父亲大卫所行的；现在耶和华要把你的罪归到你的头上。

王又對示每說：『你自己知道你對我父親大衛所行過的一切壞事、你心裏知道永恆主必使你作的壞事都歸到你自己頭上。

又曰、昔爾行於我父大衛之惡、爾心所存、爾悉知之、今耶和華必使爾惡、歸於爾首、

又曰、昔爾以惡待我父大闢、爾心所知、今耶和華必因是惡而報施焉。

王又謂示每曰、昔爾以惡待我父大衛、爾心所知、今主因爾此惡、使罪歸於爾首、

The king also said to Shimei,“ You know in your heart all the wrong you did to my father David. Now the Lord will repay you for your wrongdoing.

The king continued,“ You know all the wrong things you did to my father David. In your heart you know them. Now the Lord will pay you back for what you did.

The king also said to Shimei,“ You know in your own heart all the harm that you did to David my father. So the Lord will bring back your harm on your own head.

The king also said to Shimei,“ You certainly remember all the wicked things you did to my father, David. May the Lord now bring that evil on your own head.

The king also said,“ You yourself know all the evil that you did to my father David. Therefore, the LORD has brought back your evil on your head,

The king also said to Shimei,“ You yourself know all the evil that you acknowledge in your heart, which you did to my father David; therefore the Lord will return your evil on your own head.

The king said moreover to Shimei,“ You know, as your heart acknowledges, all the wickedness that you did to my father David; therefore the Lord will return your wickedness on your own head.

The king said moreover to Shimei, Thou knowest all the wickedness which thy heart is privy to, that thou didst to David my father: therefore Jehovah shall return thy wickedness upon thine own head.

The king also said,“ You yourself know all the evil that you did to my father David. Therefore, the Lord has brought back your evil on your head,

Then the king said to Shimei,“ You are well aware of the way you mistreated my father David. The LORD will punish you for what you did.

大卫王来到巴户琳的时候，忽然有一人从那里出来，他是属扫罗家族的，名叫示每，是基拉的儿子。他一边出来，一边咒骂；又拿石头投掷大卫和大卫王所有的臣仆，那时众人和众勇士都在王的左右。示每咒骂的时候，这样说：“你这流人血的人啊，滚开！你这无赖啊，滚开！你流了扫罗全家的血，接替扫罗作王，耶和华已经把这罪报应在你身上；耶和华已经把这国交在你儿子押沙龙的手里。看哪！你现在自取其祸了，因为你是个流人血的人。”洗鲁雅的儿子亚比筛对王说：“为什么让这条死狗咒骂我主我王呢？让我过去，把他的头砍下来。”王说：“洗鲁雅的儿子啊，我与你们有什么关系呢？如果他咒骂是因为耶和华对他说：‘你要咒骂大卫！’那么谁敢说：‘你为什么这样作呢？’”大卫又对亚比筛和他所有的臣仆说：“看哪！连我亲生的儿子尚且寻索我的命，何况这便雅悯人呢？由他去吧，由他咒骂吧！因为这是耶和华吩咐他的。也许耶和华看见我的苦难，就施恩与我，以取代今天这人对我的咒骂。”于是大卫和跟从他的人继续在大路上往前去。示每也沿着山坡，与大卫并排而行，一边走，一边咒骂，又用石头投掷他，拿尘土扬他。

他的恶毒必回到自己的头上，他的强暴必落在自己的头顶上。

大卫听见拿八死了，就说：“耶和华是应当称颂的，因为他为我伸了拿八羞辱我的冤，又阻止了仆人行恶，也使拿八的恶归到他自己的头上。”于是大卫派人去对亚比该说要娶她作他的妻子。

因此主耶和华这样说：我指着我的永生起誓：他既然藐视我的誓言，背弃我的约，我必使这罪归到他的头上。

耶和华必使约押流无辜人的血的罪归到他自己头上，因为他击杀了两个比他又公义又良善的人，就是用刀杀了以色列的元帅尼珥的儿子押尼珥，和犹大的元帅益帖的儿子亚玛撒，这事我的父亲大卫一点都不知道。愿流这二人的血的罪归到约押和他后裔的头上，直到永远；但大卫和他的后裔，他的家和他的国却要从耶和华那里得享平安，直到永远。”

他们听了这话，就从年老的开始，一个一个地都离开了，留下的只有耶稣和那个还站在那里的妇人。

所以，祭司怎样，人民也怎样。我必按他们的行为惩罚他们，照他们的行为报应他们。

这就表明律法的作用是刻在他们的心里，有他们的良心一同作证，他们的思想互相较量，或作控告、或作辩护。

恶人必被自己的罪孽捉住，他必被自己罪恶的绳索缠住。
