The king put Benaiah son of Jehoiada over the army in Joab’s position and replaced Abiathar with Zadok the priest.

The king put Benaiah in charge of the army. Benaiah took Joab’s place. The king also put Zadok the priest in Abiathar’s place.

我要为自己兴起一位忠心的祭司，他必依照我的心意行事；我要为他建立一个稳固的家，他一生必行在我的受膏者面前。

以利亚撒生非尼哈，非尼哈生亚比书，亚比书生布基，布基生乌西，乌西生西拉希雅，西拉希雅生米拉约，米拉约生亚玛利雅，亚玛利雅生亚希突，亚希突生撒督，撒督生亚希玛斯，亚希玛斯生亚撒利雅，亚撒利雅生约哈难，约哈难生亚撒利雅（这亚撒利雅曾在耶路撒冷所罗门建造的圣殿中作祭司），亚撒利雅生亚玛利雅，亚玛利雅生亚希突，亚希突生撒督，撒督生沙龙，沙龙生希勒家，希勒家生亚撒利雅，亚撒利雅生西莱雅，西莱雅生约萨答；在耶和华藉尼布甲尼撒掳掠犹大人和耶路撒冷人的时候，这约萨答也被掳去了。（本章1~15节在《马索拉文本》为5:27~41）

“亚伦祭司的孙子、以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈，使我的烈怒稍消，不向以色列人发作，因为他在他们中间以我忌邪的心为心，使我不因我忌邪的心把他们消灭。因此你要说：‘现在我把平安之约赐给他，要给他和他的后裔作为永远担当祭司职分的约，因为他为他的神有忌邪的心，为以色列人赎罪。’”
