遂起飲食、藉其力行四十晝夜、詣上帝之山何烈、

遂起飲食、精力頓增、行歷四旬、晝夜不息、詣上帝之山何烈、

遂起、食而飲、賴此食之力、行四十晝夜、至天主之山何烈、

So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.

So he got up. He ate and drank. The food gave him new strength. He traveled for 40 days and 40 nights. He kept going until he arrived at Horeb. It was the mountain of God.

And he arose and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mount of God.

So he got up and ate and drank, and the food gave him enough strength to travel forty days and forty nights to Mount Sinai, the mountain of God.

So he got up, ate, and drank. Then on the strength from that food, he walked forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mountain of God.

So he arose and ate and drank, and he journeyed in the strength of that food for forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mountain of God.

So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God.

And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

So he got up, ate, and drank. Then on the strength from that food, he walked 40 days and 40 nights to Horeb, the mountain of God.

So he got up and ate and drank. That meal gave him the strength to travel forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.

He arose, and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, God’s Mountain.

摩西在那裡與耶和華在一起共四十晝夜，不吃飯，也不喝水。他把這約的話寫在兩塊版上，這就是十誡。

摩西進入雲彩中，上到山上去；摩西在山上四十晝夜。

為了你們所犯的一切罪，作了耶和華看為惡的事，惹他發怒，我就像先前那樣，俯伏在耶和華面前，四十晝夜，不吃不喝。

那時，摩西正在牧放他岳父米甸祭司葉忒羅的羊群。有一次，他把羊群領到曠野的盡頭去，到了神的山，就是何烈山。

耶穌禁食了四十晝夜，就餓了，

四十天受魔鬼的試探。那些日子他甚麼也沒有吃，日子滿了他就餓了。

他在那裡四十天，受撒但的試探，和野獸在一起，有天使來服事他。

西奈全山冒煙，因為耶和華在火中降臨到山上；山的煙向上升，好像火窯的煙一樣。全山猛烈震動。

“你們要謹記我僕人摩西的律法，就是我在何烈山為以色列眾人所吩咐他的律例和典章。“看哪！在耶和華大而可畏的日子來到以先，我必差派以利亞先知到你們那裡去。

過了十天，見他們的容貌比所有享用王的佳餚的年輕人，更加俊美健壯。

他卻對我說：“我的恩典是夠你用的，因為我的能力在人的軟弱上顯得完全。”所以，我更喜歡誇自己的軟弱，好讓基督的能力臨到我的身上。

那時，我上了山，要領受石版，就是耶和華與你們立約的石版；那時我在山上住了四十晝夜，不吃不喝。耶和華把那兩塊石版交給了我，是神用手指寫的；石版上所寫的，是耶和華在大會之日，在山上從火中對你們所說的一切話。過了四十晝夜，耶和華把那兩塊石版，就是約版，交給了我。
