The Lord said,“ Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.

耶和华说：“你出来站在山上，在我面前。”那时耶和华从那里经过，在他面前有烈风大作，崩山碎石，耶和华却不在风中；风后地震，耶和华却不在其中；

耶和华说：“你出来站在山上，在耶和华面前。”看哪，耶和华从那里经过。在耶和华面前有烈风大作，山崩石裂，耶和华却不在风中；风后有地震，耶和华也不在其中；

耶和华说：“你出来站在山上，在我耶和华面前。”那时，耶和华从那里经过。在耶和华面前有强烈的大风，山崩石碎，但耶和华不在风中；风过以后有地震，但耶和华也不在地震中；

永恆主說：『你出來站在山上、在永恆主面前。』那時、永恆主正從那裏經過；在永恆主面前有大而強烈的風，裂山碎巖，永恆主卻不在風之中；風過後有地震，永恆主卻不在地震之中；

曰、爾其出穴、立於山崗、在耶和華前、時、耶和華過焉、其前有風、大而且猛、裂山碎石、惟耶和華不在風中、風後地震、耶和華不在其中、

曰、當出立於山岡、在於我前、斯時耶和華過焉。在其前有風、勢大而猛、裂山破石。耶和華不御風而至。風後地震、地震之際、耶和華亦不降臨。

主曰、爾出、立於山在我前、斯時主過焉、在主前烈風大作、裂山碎石、但主不在其中、風後地震、但主亦不在其中、

The Lord said,“ Go out. Stand on the mountain in front of me. I am going to pass by.” As the Lord approached, a very powerful wind tore the mountains apart. It broke up the rocks. But the Lord wasn’t in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake. But the Lord wasn’t in the earthquake.

And he said,“ Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.

“ Go out and stand before me on the mountain,” the Lord told him. And as Elijah stood there, the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.

Then he said,“ Go out and stand on the mountain in the LORD’s presence.” At that moment, the LORD passed by. A great and mighty wind was tearing at the mountains and was shattering cliffs before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.

So He said,“ Go out and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord was passing by! And a great and powerful wind was tearing out the mountains and breaking the rocks in pieces before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.

Then He said,“ Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake;

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before Jehovah. And, behold, Jehovah passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before Jehovah; but Jehovah was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but Jehovah was not in the earthquake:

Then He said,“ Go out and stand on the mountain in the Lord’s presence.” At that moment, the Lord passed by. A great and mighty wind was tearing at the mountains and was shattering cliffs before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD;[ but] the LORD[ was] not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake;[ but] the LORD[ was] not in the earthquake:

The LORD said,“ Go out and stand on the mountain before the LORD. Look, the LORD is ready to pass by.” A very powerful wind went before the LORD, digging into the mountain and causing landslides, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the windstorm there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.

He said,“ Go out, and stand on the mountain before Yahweh.” Behold, Yahweh passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before Yahweh; but Yahweh was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake; but Yahweh was not in the earthquake.

I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north— an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal,

So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.

The Lord said to Moses,“ Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”

You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm;to a trumpet blast or to such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them,because they could not bear what was commanded:“ If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death.”The sight was so terrifying that Moses said,“ I am trembling with fear.”

The Lord descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up

Be ready in the morning, and then come up on Mount Sinai. Present yourself to me there on top of the mountain.

The Lord will cause people to hear his majestic voice and will make them see his arm coming down with raging anger and consuming fire, with cloudburst, thunderstorm and hail.

Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.

Then the Lord said,“ There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock.When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by.Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”

Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.

Then panic struck the whole army— those in the camp and field, and those in the outposts and raiding parties— and the ground shook. It was a panic sent by God.

The Lord is slow to anger but great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet.

The mountains quake before him and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, the world and all who live in it.Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; the rocks are shattered before him.

So he said to me,“ This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:‘ Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.

the earth shook, the heavens poured down rain, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel.

At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised,“ Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”

At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks splitand the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed,“ Surely he was the Son of God!”

Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake.

And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming,“ The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,

Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said:

When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance

Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a severe hailstorm.

He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying,“ This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain.

Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.

God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. His glory covered the heavens and his praise filled the earth.His splendor was like the sunrise; rays flashed from his hand, where his power was hidden.Plague went before him; pestilence followed his steps.

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.

On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast. Everyone in the camp trembled.
