以利亞說：「不要害怕，你可以照你所說的去做餅，只是你要先做一小塊餅給我，然後再做給你和你兒子。

Elijah said to her,“ Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son.

「你們要先尋求上帝的國和祂的義，這一切都會賜給你們。

「愛父母過於愛我的人不配作我的門徒；愛兒女過於愛我的人不配作我的門徒；

因為我是你的上帝耶和華，我必拉著你的右手對你說，『不要怕，我必幫助你。』

你要用自己的財富和一切初熟的物產來尊崇耶和華，

我是你的上帝，我必與你同在，你不用驚慌也不用害怕。我必賜你力量，幫助你，用我公義的右手扶持你。』

耶穌告訴他：「如果你想做到純全，就去變賣所有的產業，送給窮人，你就必有財寶存在天上，然後你來跟從我。」那青年聽後，便憂傷地走了，因為他有許多產業。

你們不用與他們交戰，只要守住陣勢，站立不動，看耶和華為你們施行拯救。猶大人和耶路撒冷人啊，不要恐懼，不要驚慌，明天只管出去迎敵，耶和華必與你們同在！』」

於是，基甸把他們帶到泉水邊，耶和華對他說：「把像狗一樣用舌頭舔水喝的和跪著喝水的分開。」那時有三百人捧水舔著喝，其餘的都跪著喝。耶和華對基甸說：「我要用這三百舔水喝的人拯救你們，我要把米甸人交在你手中。讓其餘的人都回家吧。」

亞伯拉罕被試驗時憑信心把以撒獻為祭物，承受應許的亞伯拉罕當時獻上了自己的獨生子。

上帝的僕人說：「不要害怕！我們的人比他們的還要多。」

摩西對百姓說：「你們不用害怕，站穩了，看耶和華用什麼方法解救你們。你們再也看不到你們今天看到的埃及人了。

這樣，你們的信心經過試驗便顯明是真實的，比那經過火煉仍會壞掉的金子更加寶貴，使你們可以在耶穌基督顯現時得到稱讚、榮耀和尊貴。

這些事以後，上帝要考驗亞伯拉罕，就呼喚他：「亞伯拉罕！」他回答說：「我在這裡。」上帝說：「帶著你的兒子，你的獨生子，你疼愛的以撒前往摩利亞，在我指示你的山上把他獻為燔祭。」

天使對那兩個女人說：「不要怕，我知道你們是在找那位被釘十字架的耶穌。

對我說，『保羅，不用怕，你一定會站在凱撒面前，上帝也會保全所有和你同船的人。』

萬軍之耶和華說：「你們要把當納的十分之一全部送到我的倉庫，使我的殿中有糧。你們這樣試試，看我會不會為你們打開天上的窗戶，把祝福傾倒給你們，直到無處可容。」
