Asa then took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and of his own palace. He entrusted it to his officials and sent them to Ben-Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus.

Asa took all the silver and gold left among the treasures of the Lord’ s temple and his own palace. He put his officials in charge of it. He sent the officials to Ben- Hadad. Ben- Hadad was king of Aram. He was ruling in Damascus. He was the son of Tabrimmon and the grandson of Hezion.

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that were left in the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king’s house and gave them into the hands of his servants. And King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying,

Asa responded by removing all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the Temple of the Lord and the royal palace. He sent it with some of his officials to Ben hadad son of Tabrimmon, son of Hezion, the king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus, along with this message:

So Asa withdrew all the silver and gold that remained in the treasuries of the LORD’s temple and the treasuries of the royal palace and gave it to his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad son of Tabrimmon son of Hezion king of Aram who lived in Damascus, saying,

So Asa withdrew all the silver and gold that remained in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and the treasuries of the royal palace and put it into the hands of his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben-hadad son of Tabrimmon son of Hezion king of Aram who lived in Damascus, saying,

Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the LORD’s temple and of the royal palace and handed it to his servants. He then told them to deliver it to Ben Hadad son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, ruler in Damascus, along with this message:

Then Asa took all the silver and the gold that was left in the treasures of Yahweh’s house, and the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered it into the hand of his servants. Then King Asa sent them to Ben Hadad, the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who lived at Damascus, saying,

犹大王约阿施把先王约沙法、约兰、亚哈谢和他自己奉献的圣物以及耶和华殿里和王宫库房里的所有金子都送给了亚兰王哈薛，哈薛便从耶路撒冷退兵。

上帝又使以利亚大的儿子利逊兴起，与所罗门为敌。这人从他主人琐巴王哈大底谢身边逃走后，招聚了一群匪徒，自己做头目。大卫征服琐巴人后，他又前往大马士革，在那里做王。

他又把他父亲和他自己所献上的金银和器皿都带到耶和华的殿里。

夜里，亚伯兰和他的随从分头出击，大败敌人，一直追杀到大马士革北面的何巴，

亚兰王便·哈达率领全军，联合三十二个王，带着车马围攻撒玛利亚。他派遣使者进城对以色列王亚哈说：“便·哈达说，‘你的金银和你家中最美的妻妾儿女都是我的。’”以色列王说：“我主我王啊，我答应你的要求，我和我的一切都是你的。”不久，使者又来对他说：“便·哈达说，‘我已派人吩咐你把金银、妻妾和儿女都给我。

他们听见亚哈的口气温和，连忙附和说：“是啊，便·哈达是王的兄弟。”亚哈便吩咐他们去把便·哈达带来见他，然后让便·哈达登上他的战车。便·哈达对亚哈说：“我必归还我父亲从你父亲那里夺来的城邑，你可以在大马士革设立贸易区，就像我父亲在撒玛利亚所设立的一样。”亚哈回答说：“你依此立个约，我就放你走。”立约之后，亚哈就放便·哈达走了。

所以我要降火在哈薛王家，烧毁便·哈达王的城堡。

于是，亚撒收集耶和华殿里和王宫库房里的金银，派人送给住在大马士革的亚兰王便·哈达，说：“我们之间应立盟约，像我们的父亲之间立约一样，现在奉上金银为礼，请你取消与以色列王巴沙立的盟约。这样，他就会从我境内退兵。”便·哈达接受了亚撒王的提议，派将领攻打以色列的城邑，攻占了以云、但、亚伯·玛音和拿弗他利所有的储货城。巴沙闻讯，就停止修筑拉玛。亚撒王率领全体犹大人，将巴沙修筑拉玛所用的石头和木材全部搬走，用来修建迦巴和米斯巴。

我要焚烧大马士革的城墙和便·哈达的宫殿。”

一天，以利沙到了大马士革。当时亚兰王便·哈达正在生病，他得知上帝的仆人来了，便对哈薛说：“你带着礼物去见上帝的仆人，请他求问耶和华，看看我这病能否痊愈。”哈薛用四十头骆驼驮着大马士革的各种美物前去拜见以利沙。到了那里，他站在以利沙面前说：“你儿子亚兰王便·哈达派我来问你，他的病能否痊愈？”以利沙对哈薛说：“你去告诉他，他一定会痊愈。不过，耶和华告诉我他会死。”他目不转睛地盯着哈薛，盯得他很不安。然后，上帝的仆人哭了。哈薛问：“我主为什么哭呢？”以利沙说：“因为我知道你会加害以色列人。你会放火烧他们的堡垒，用刀杀戮他们的壮丁，摔死他们的孩童，剖开他们的孕妇。”哈薛说：“你仆人算什么，不过是一条狗，怎能做这样的大事呢？”以利沙说：“耶和华告诉我，你要做亚兰王。”哈薛辞别以利沙回去了。王问他：“以利沙对你说什么？”他答道：“以利沙告诉我，你一定会痊愈。”第二天，哈薛拿了一床浸透水的被子，蒙在王的脸上，王窒息而死。于是哈薛篡位。

亚伯兰说：“主耶和华啊，你要赐我什么呢？我没有儿子，继承我家业的人是大马士革人以利以谢。”

希西迦将耶和华殿里和王宫库房里的所有银子都给了他，又刮下他包在耶和华殿门和门柱上的金子，一并送去。

他将他父亲和自己奉献给上帝的金银及器皿都带到上帝的殿里。
